Got this as a birthday gift, and it was perfect! The hinges are nice and so is the lining inside the box. Really solid little box, much better than I hoped coming from Amazon! Now holds a lot of random trinkets and rocks and things, very well loved! Will most likely last a long time, if you want it, it's definitely worth the price! The carving design is well done, and very pretty as well <3

The only reason why this does not get my 5 star rating is because when I buffed it with orange oil and bee's wax, the reddish stain was coming off on the towel I was using. I expected a little, but this was a bit more than what I expected. Still, the price is right and it is nicely decorated!

This carved box makes a great vehicle for a pair of custom made earrings. It is not lined but could be. The quality of the wood and workmanship is top notch.

I lived in Egypt, where the workmanship on wooden items was exquisite, and though this piece is not from Egypt, the workmanship is just as exquisite. The finished item is smooth to touch. The design is beautiful and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from this. Company again.

The box is beautifully carved, and seems sturdy. We're using it as a gift box for a necklace. However be warned that it came smelling like shoe polish, so I looked closer and realized most of the wax stain had not been removed or buffed. The box is photographed after I wiped it down (paper towels in photos) and it was quiet a lot of stain. Looks good after a buffing, but be warned it'll stink and stain your hands unless you take the excess off. Also the lid doesn't quiet shut all the way, and it looks like the hinge nails are loose and the culprit. Overall not terribly disappointed given that it shipped super fast and wasn't very expensive. It'll serve it's purpose as a gift box, but I'm going to try to fix it up first.

First, this box is BIG. I was thinking it was going to be small, like a ring jewelry box, but it's actually fairly sizable for what I was expecting. Maybe I should have read the dimensions lol. This is 100% ok. Second, quality is solid. It seems almost like a hand-carved curio/souvenir type item you might find when traveling. So, I really liked that. Third, and I won't dock points for this because it was fine... but it does have a smell when I opened it, like the smell of some kind of finish coat or stain... I just let it air out for an hour and it was fine, but just be aware of that when buying it last minute, the smell is probably not really a dealbreaker, but just be aware of that.

I wanted a smaller box for my crystal bracelets and wanted a special hand carved box just for them. The picture on Amazon doesn't do the box justice. The box is so pretty and has a smaller area once opened that fits my bracelets so nice. This box is at the front of my shelf and deserves to be seen. Very happy and got it early as well.
