Excellent woodworking tool. If you do dovetails, this is a go-to tool.

This dovetail jig is inexpensive yet deliverers the purpose it was made for. Durable construction and easy to use.

Handy little marker; Great for setting proper angles repeatedly. Well machined, with notched 1/32" depth increments. Can't beat the $14 USD price!

This is a lovely and nifty little tool for laying out accurate dovetail joints. It allows scribing of dovetails at four ratios: 1:5 and 1:6 for softwood, and 1:8 and 1:10 for hardwood. Very solidly made from CNC machined aluminum. My only complaint about the product is that the instructions are vague with respect to which faces of the guide are where. Once you “get it,” things are fine. The “external” faces are 1:5 for softwood and 1:8 for hardwood, and the “interior” faces are 1:6 for softwood and 1:10 for hardwood. I have found that the exterior faces are a bit easier to use.

Clarke brothers products are an excellent value and are extremely accurate. I have several of their products that I use regularly and I just recently received the dovetail marker. It's well made just like everything else they make and works extremely well. I've never had any issues with any of the items that I have gotten from them and will be getting more. So feel rest assured when you get anything from them that you are getting the best.

The block portion of the tool blocks the pencil line so it's hard to mark around the corner of your dovetail to ensure a continuous line, especially on the inside ratios. Not bad quality but not an ideal design.
