Read the small print!! But great amp
I’m surprised this isn’t more prominent in the reviews, this item doesn’t include a power supply and the information on the advert that tells you what power is compatible is a bit vague. I doubt any of you have a power supply just hanging about so it’s an expensive additional purchase ... if you can get the right sized input plug and volt/amp.I used an old power supply within the specification given and I got sparks flying everywhere when I plugged it in.The unit is quite nicely manufactured, the button and knob have a good feel to them and the rear speaker sockets are good quality. The amplification is fairly powerful. I ran it through a pair of KEF speakers which the amp drove pretty well and I would describe the amp as being ‘better than you would expect for the price’. I don’t have an audiophiles ear so I can’t really comment on the quality, but I don’t suspect many audiophiles buy 20 quid amps anyway.I’ve given it three stars corresponding to the surprising quality of the item ... 5 stars ...minus the fact you will need to spend a further £12 on a power supply.

Great little amplifier
A great budget amplifier, the one I received did have a slight issue in that the power LED did not light up but it works as expected. The sound quality is fine for what I use it for - playing music on some book shelf style speakers in my home office. The only thing I would like to see improved is a more accurate volume control.

Excellent little Amp
Excellent little amp, certainly drives well to my ears. I’ve not changed the caps as another reviewer suggested as it’s not set up as a full Hi-Fi setup but I can’t fault it certainly for the money. One thing of note is it’s worth getting a good power supply. I’m using an old multi voltage plug top and it does give off a fair bit of mains hum when not driven. I’m sure a modern well regulated PSU would solve this I’ve not got around to buying one.

Wow!
I bought this out of sheer curiosity. I have read so many glowing reports on this little amp. Just for laughs I hooked it up to a high spec Linn LP12 via a heavily modified Ear834p phono stage and played it through my home built full range speakers. All I can say is Wow! And I am not laughing........ All this sound for £27 This is unbelievable. Ok not quite as good as my tube amp but not far off and better sound than my vintage Arcam SS amp. Update Upgraded this with decent electrolytics and pure ofc wire (£5) and WTF...... £27 amp !!!! More like £270 amp and then some.

Great
Bought to put my pc sound through a couple of JBL control 5 for use in a smallish space, this amp does the job fine. I've never had the volume above 50%, it would be too loud. No overheating, and the reproduction is excellent. For the money, or twice or three times the money, you couldn't do better.

Not as good as I'd been led to believe
Wanted a small desktop amp to power some old JPW monitors I had instead of buying new powered desktop speakers. Unfortunately it's nearly useless for that purpose. With my phone as an audio source it works just fine, but connected to my computer (either desktop or laptop) there's massive amounts of buzz/interference that rises and falls with the volume control. Tried it with 3 difference power supplies and 4 rca cables and none have made a difference. If I keep the volume at the absolute minimum and use the computer volume it's just about useable but obviously won't get party loud. It's enough for my purposes at the moment but I'm going to try a ground loop isolator and hope that will help. Second issue is that there is a volume imbalance between channels with the left channel being slightly lower than the right. It's not massive, but is annoying once you notice it. Easily sorted with the balance control on your sound source I guess but it's going to get old mucking around with the balance as I swap between amp/headphone or between computer/phone. Sound quality seems okay with a bit eq, certainly better than the JBL Creature speakers it's replacing, but there is a bit of bass distortion even at fairly low levels if your not careful with the eq (and it's not the speakers which can handle it no problem when connected to an old Class D Technics amp). I'm going to hang onto it though, as one thing it has going for it is there seems to be a decent amount of instructions/videos out there of people modifying things to improve them. Maybe I'm expecting too much, it was only £28 after all. Maybe quality control plays a part and I just got unlucky and got a bad one, so if buying one be aware that there could be issues.
