12V High flow and acceptable noise, 5V High flow and silent
For case and radiator cooling, these offer a far superior noise and performance tradeoff to competing products like the wider 140mm Noctua NF-A14 iPPC-3000 PWM fans.At 12V, these are among the most powerful fans available, but they do not sound as loud as vacuum cleaners. Competing products with similar performance do.At 5V, these fans still seem to push about half the airflow (which is actually really good), even through a radiator and convoluted chassis. Noise drops off to less than an HVAC vent, ceiling fan, or other typical sources of background noise.Have been using these fans for several years now. No failures, either on arrival, or in 24/7 operation.

Not silent, but not bad, used in G4 MDD to quiet it down a little
I installed this in my Power Mac G4 MDD, known as the 'wind-tunnel' Mac, and it definitely quieted it down a couple dB, but it's not quite 'silent'. Plus, the power supply fans are even louder than the main system fan... so replacing those (even though that project is much more challenging) is more effective if you want to quiet down one of these old systems.

Used for RV fridge vent fan
I used this fan to replace the refrigerator vent fan in an Airstream trailer. The original fan was very loud, and drew about double the power that this one does. Installation was straightforward, with no modification to the mounting bracket. This fan is much quieter, has provided adequate air flow to allow the fridge to cool properly. I doubt it will last as long as the original fan, so I wired it up with quick disconnects, and kept the old fan in reserve. That way I can easily put the old one back if this fan goes out on a camping trip. If that happens, I will likely order another Silenx.

noisy, failed in 1 year
the fan is a bit noisy despite the name, and has failed about a year into using it intermittently as a seasonal exhaust fan. probably less than 6 months intermittent usage.

Wow, this fan is quiet! But it cannot stand high RF fields
Pumps a good amount of air at a very low noise level. Unfortunately for me, it won't work inside of a 1KW tube HF amplifier. The intense RF field disrupts the motor or the 12V control system so I had to switch to an AC fan which has a much higher noise level. But if you want a PC fan that is really quiet, then this IS the one to buy.

Prettt quiet but not silent
Fairly quiet but by no means silent, I can hear it running from inside my Airstream as I use it as a replacement refrigerator cooling fan outside my trailer. The application doesn’t matter, I just expected it to be a little quieter but it gets the job done and comes with everything needed.

It is quiet indeed, but I think it is clearly more noisy than the specification
It is quiet indeed, but I think it is clearly more noisy than the specification. However, the air volume seems to be large. After all, when cooling is necessary, I think that it is better to purchase products from well-selling manufacturers. If we ask for wind volume and wind pressure, we have no choice but to put up with the noise.

It noisy, not silent the way they promis.
also when you try ro control the speed manualy " reduce" it will make more ugly noise. simly you can't live whith!
