Only a 4" cord? This is not going to fit very many cases and still be able to connect to the MOBO for power unless you have an extension, which should not be required. I am trying to fit in a very small ITX case, not a full ATX case. So unless you have an extension cord, or are somehow mounting right close to the MOBO socket, I would advise another fan or order an extension at the same time. Can not speak for the fan noise itself, but have had good luck w/ Silenx in the past. It was not stated in the description, but if you look at the picture you can see how short it is, the cord is not "wrapped" around the fan like most come.

Love this fan. Quiet and great airflow in just a 60mm fan. Short 4" wire lead, but extensions are readily available and cheap. Here's what I ordered to extend the reach:  RiteCable (2 Pack) 3 Pin Computer Case Fan Extension Cable 24"

I ordered a handful of these to replace fans in a reef tank light hood that had similar fans.These fans have more CFM and much quieter.
