Worked great for a small (50 people) outdoor wedding
We used the mic and speaker for our daughter's wedding. The sound quality and volume was fine. The portable speaker was convenient to use for the wedding and then the reception, which was nearby. It was nice to not deal with speaker wires. The instructions were a little difficult, but with a little of trial/error, we figured it out.

Impressive
I am very impressed with this little unit. It's puts out a clear and loud enough sound for a small room and group. The only thing missing is a line out jack, so that you can connect it to a larger system for a larger room and group.

Could not get the Mic to pair with the speaker - tried for 4 hour
I could not get the Mic to pair with the speaker - tried for 4 hour. I checked product website and other blogs but could not get it to work. When I plug in one of my microphones, without the wireless the microphone with a cord works. I sent a message last week to the manufacture but have not hear from them yet. thank you John

Capable but confusing
This is a full-featured portable mini-PA (speaker) suitable for amplifying sound for outdoor events or indoors. The product is made primarily for the Japanese market and is labeled as such, although the control buttons have bilingual Japanese/English labels. The device is powered by an internal battery which can apparently be replaced if it wears out (the manual says “Please change a new same battery”). You charge the battery with the included 9V transformer brick, which has a North American plug and accepts inputs from 100-240V. The device takes inputs from a 3.5 mm aux cable, a USB A flash drive, a TF (microSD) card, a ¼” mic or instrument cable (but no XLR input), FM radio, and the included wireless mic. The device is set up for karaoke input and mixing. It also can record files and loops onto the USB flash drive. You can choose mic priority and music/karaoke. Dials at the top let you control mic volume, echo, bass, treble, and volume. Numbered buttons let you choose selections, and there are also buttons for play/pause, next, and previous, as well as record/play, delete recording, looping, and input. The LED display on the front shows you battery status and input type. Also included in the box is a nylon should strap which clicks onto steel loops on either side of the speaker, and a wireless microphone.I was excited to try this speaker out to use for calling at contradances. The wireless mic would be especially useful for calling while demonstrating the dances. But wow! There is a steep learning curve for this device. It is very non-intuitive. I tried for several days to get some sound, and finally found the input button after studying the manual (right in the very center of all the button rows, under the handle). You have to manually press the input button to select the correct input mode, or you will hear nothing. When you do find it, a female voice with an odd British accent lets you know your selection. Once I finally found the input button I was able to get the speaker to play from my iPod. The sound quality was quite good, and the bass and treble controls allowed me to adjust the playback as I wanted. The wireless microphone runs on 2 AA batteries (not included). It’s a decent voice microphone and works well with the speaker. Pairing it is a challenge, since the instructions in the manual are less than clear. Once you get it going, though, it works fine. If you want to use your own mic, you will either need one with ¼” input or an XLR to ¼” adapter (sold separately) since the speaker does not have an XLR port.Overall, this is a very capable speaker system, but it’s a bit challenging to figure out. The speaker can do a lot more than just play back sound from a 3.5 mm audio cable, but it may take some patience and time to learn how to use the features that you need.
