DANCO 5 inch X 1-3/8 inch O.D. Pop-Up Stopper for Lavatory Sinks, Chrome (10555)

I couldn't find this size stopper at either of the local hardware stores or Home Depot for my bathroom sink. I had to use a multitool and shave down the side so it'd fit my sink, but it's the only thing that works!

Just a little too big and too long. The potential is there to make this a good product

It is what you see and the picture and very easy to install.

I had a standard sink stopper break and this replaced it perfectly. I didn't have to alter it or trim it to make it fit because it fit well just the way it was.

Pretty easy to install and use. I did have to use sandpaper to file down the sides so they’d fit in my drain but otherwise they do what I needed them to do.

A quality piece - while the ridges giving strength to the shaft were too wide for my 2002 bathroom basin, they were easy to sandd down for an easy fit. QUick delivery!

A little tight

The old stopper had become corroded. So the new one is bright and shiny and makes the lavatory look much better. Easy to install, stops as advertised, good value.

It is a good replacement, but despite what the description says, it is not a true universal replacement, some tools (hand file) and adaptation may be required. I had to file about 1/16" off each side fin for it to fit into the drain. The holes lined up close enough with my drain mechanism to function (the stopper sits slightly higher then the bottom of the sink. I could file the top of the hole a little bigger to fix this.) In all, from unpacking, recognizing the fins were too big, grabbing a hand file, filing down the fins and install, it was less then 5 minutes to replace. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars was the description of "Universal" and "No Tools Required" is misleading. All in all, if you can't find the manufactures replacement, this will be "good enough".

The piece has 2 elongated holes for the lever to fit into. These holes are too large. The piece would be better if it had 4 or 5 smaller holes instead.

J'ai dû l'adapter mais c'est le plus proche d'une bonde européenne et mon ami est très content du résultat et moi, je suis fier d'avoir pu régler son problème.

We had no problem installing this into our bathroom sink. The previous stopper had started to leak so hopefully this one will last a bit longer!
