KBS Coatings 3500 RustBlast - 1 Gallon, Metal Etch and Powerful Rust Remover

I've been using this on my old Ford as I move through and repair the rust and it really works well. primer Adhesion after application is excellent. Yes, there is quite a bit of manual scrubbing if you really want to get into those hard to reach areas but well worth it in the end.

I really like this product. It works just what it says. I was able to use this product to clean and paint the frame of my truck. I run out so I have to buy this again. Highly recommend this product to anyone who is going to paint the frame of their truck or suv. Well worth the money I spend with no reverent.

The RustBlast worked OK... and I'd probably consider purchasing it again.

WE HAVE TRIED SEVERAL PRODUCTS AMAZON CARRIES FOR RUST .I HAVE USED THIS ONE AS WE UNDERSTOOD THE ADVERTISEMENT SAYING TO USE IT.IT JUST SEAMED IT SHOULD BE BETTER. SO WE ACTUALLY READ THE INSTRUCTIONS AND DID RESEARCH !WE ALL READY HAD THE AQUA KBS KLEAN TO USE WITH IT. IT SEAMS TO WORK A LOT BETTER WHEN WE CLEANED THE AREA WITH WIRE BRUSH AND WIRE WHEELS ONE SMALL GRINDERS.THEN USED THE CLEANER LET IT SOAK IN FOR ABOUT 5 MIN AT LEAST THEN HAND WIRE BRUSHED THE AREA GOOD. THEN RINSED THE AREA SOME WITH SQUIRT BOTTLE OF WATER AND WIPED IT DOWN THE BLEW OFF WITH AIR HOSE.IF IT SEAMED LIKE IT NEEDED IT MORE WE WOULD REPEAT THE PROCESS MAKING SURE THE AREA WAS DRY.WE WAS AMAZED AT HOW DIFFERENT THINGS LOOKED BY THEN.THEN WE WOULD SPRAY THE RUST BLAST ON THE AREA LETTING IT SOAK WITH OUT LETTING IT DRY ON AREA, SOME TIMES IF RUST WAS HEAVY WE WOUD HAND WIRE BRUSH THE AREA EVEN SPRAYING MORE ON.THEN WHEN WE WAS DONE WIRE BRUSHING IT IT WAS TIME TO RINSE IT OFF BEFORE IT DRYS SO WE SPRAYED IT GOOD WITH WATER FROM SPRAY BOTTLE AND WIPED OFF THEN SPRAYED ON A LITTLE MORE WATER AND WIPED IF NESSISSARY THEN BLEW THE AREA OFF. FOR US THAT PROCESS SEAMED TO WORK BEST.A LOT OF THE RUST WOULD BE GONE AND MOST OF THE REST WOULD SEAM TO BE NEUTRALIZED AND TREATED WITH THAT BLACK COATING THEY TALK ABOUT. BEFORE WE WOULD COAT THE METAL WITH A RUST PREVENTIVE COATING OR PAINT WE WOULD USE THEIR AQUA KBS CLEANER AND WASH AND RINSE IT OFF AGAIN MAKING SURE THE AREA WAS DRY BEFORE COATED THE AREA.SO FAR THESE STEPS WORK THE BEST FOR US ON THE RUSTED AREAS THAT WE AREN'T REPLACING WITH NEW METAL ON CARS WE ARE RESTORING.THE ADDS FOR THIS STUFF MAY SAY ALL OF THESE STEPS BUT SOME HOW WE SEAMED TO MISS IT IF IT DID.BETWEEN THE INSTRUCTION AND OTHER RESEARCH WE NOW USE THE PRODUCT WITH THESE STEPS AND ARE VERY HAPPY WITH RESULTS

I have used this product before and it was a greenish blue in color - the new color is purple and its not as good. I wish they hadn't changed the formula. Slightly disappointed.

Used on a rusty tank of a 2004 SV650s. Managed to remove the visible rust and left only a faint outline of where the rust was. For how bad the tank was, I think this did a really good job. Used after 2.5 hours of soaking with the KBS Klean and water.

Works as it’s supposed to, I first clean what I’m painting than I use this kbs rust blast, than to finish the product off I use the kbs rust coating works great so far, I was so sick of my cars quarter panels rusting with these Canadian winters!
