The design has kinks to work out, literally and figuratively but it gets hot enough to work
In Minnesota in late August when a temperature was 82 degrees, the water got nicely warm enough to enjoy as a shower but not really hot by any measure. At first I hung it by the rope with the rope tied in the middle of the plastic bar and the ends of the bar began to deform and sag. I then hung it by the bar with the rope fed through the hollow of the bar and the bar remained flat and straight. As the day progressed the bar heated up and bent. The next day I was surprised to see the bar remained bent! It is made out of thermoplastic plastic and remains bent now. I could heat it in the oven to "relax" it but not going to do that. I think the only hope is to replace the bent tube with something that will not get soft and bend when it gets warmed up and hanging the water bag. The next days I lay it horizontal on a patio table with clear side up and black side down without leaking out the red filler port, and warmed up better than the hanging situation, but still only nicely warm never 'hot.' The product came in a long thing tube like square box that is too short causing the hose to be in a permanent kink that restricts the water flow, requiring intervention by the user to use. I tried putting an automotive hose clamp around it and was able to compress the kink to become a round hose again but only as long as the hose clamp is on it. I bought it to use on my sailboat for showers when away extended times from shore. It will work for sailboat showers and be welcome.

Not just for camping, great for avoiding heat exhaustion/stroke during outdoor work and sport activities.
I purchased this to cleanup and cool off after day hikes, Turns out it has numerous uses.During an outdoor repair project, I got a touch of heat exhaustion. Next day I used the camp shower, to quickly cool off when needed. No heat exhaustion. For this purpose, hang in the shade or cover with a white cloth. It is great to cleanup ASAP on site, if gloves have torn and exposed skin to toxic materials. I spilled some PVC primer and it was great to get it off ASAP.With 1 gal of ice cold water in my back pack, keeps my body core temperature down, and at the end, just right for a quick cleanup.Very durable and no leaks even with rough treatment. Still I keep mine in a water cooler, inside my automobile. This also allows filling with warm or cold water, so the camp shower is ready to use without waiting.

Works great with pop up camp shower
We bought this camp shower to take with us to a weekend music festival and it was the envy of all those camped around us. Because it was so hot outside, we really didn't much care if it heated our water thoroughly or not, but it DID, like every bit as hot as a shower at home! We filled it twice during the weekend for both of us (we each took a shower every day) and it hung well in our pop-up camp shower. The hose is long, but necessary. The water won't flow upward, so you have to either bend over (or in my 6'1" husband's case, bend WAY over), so our solution was to put a short stool in the camp shower and just shower sitting down, which was awkward, but much more comfortable than bending over. Great purchase, highly recommended.

Not just for taking showers
We haven't used this item for a shower yet. However, we did use it extensively as a water source on our camping trip. We kept it filled and used it to wash our hands and wash dishes. It was nice to have some warm water for these purposes. As for the natural heating. The five gallon shower will not warm quickly, especially on a mild day with little or no sunshine. I had the opportunity to use a smaller shower on another trip and it did heat up to a comfortable temp. Warm or not we find this item very useful. It rolls up small for easy storage. The hose was kinked when it arrive, yet this did not hinder its performance once filled and put to use.It is nearly half the price here on amazon as compared to the camping supply store I first saw it at.I highly recommend it.

Pretty good but boy does it stink
Better design than other 'solar shower' bags. Will drain down to fully empty because the outlet hose is slightly lower than bags with a straight bottom. Like all of these things, the clear plastic tubing was kinked in the package, somewhat restricting flow. The inline shutoff valve reduces flow thru the tube, cutting both volume and pressure. No leaks after multiple uses. The plastic stench is horribly bad with this one. Did the baking soda rinse but it has never dissipated even after 20 uses.

Great buy for the money!
For the money, it would be difficult to beat this shower. We use this daily throughout the summer in a shower stall we built in the woods behind our house. We fill it with water and lay it in the sun for 2-3 hours, hoist it up on a post in the shower, and the two of us can shower with more than enough hot water. To be sure, we both have very short hair; some with lots of hair may run short to get a complete rinse.

Good
It works well. I put the bag in the cargo rack on the roof of my car for a day (partly cloudy) and the water was warm enough to enjoy it. 5 gallons is also a good volume for a single shower.I didn’t put 5 stars because the Shower wasn’t well packed. The pipe was folded with angle and now it keeps the angle so the water stream cuts if I do not keep the pipe straight.

Works great but...
I keep this permanently in my top luggage rack on my Eurovan. It works great (i.e., at least you can get washed off with water that is warmish). The only problem is that the cord is made out of material that totally rots away after it's been exposed to the weather for quite some time.
