An Amplifier for demanding Music lovers With the beyerdynamic A 20 you will rediscover your dynamic headphones. This new headphone amplifier from beyerdynamic is perfect for all headphone applications and provides dual outputs for shared listening with a partner. Superior Sound The circuit of the A20 is designed based on our legendary A 1 reference headphone amplifier. The discrete output stage provides plenty of power even for high-impedance headphones while the dynamic, open and precise sound sets the A 20 apart from what can be found in the normal output stages of regular amplifiers or receivers. This is confirmed by its first-class circuitry and excellent technical specifications that provide a balanced sound for long periods of comfortable listening. High build-quality and nice looks Made of brushed aluminium, the housing of the A 20 is especially solid and resonance-free. Due to the innovative chassis design, no screws are visible on the external surfaces. Equipped with an original ALPS potentiometer for variable volume control, a knob turned from solid aluminium completes the attractive yet robust look of this amplifier. Simple and Flexible With a high-gain RCA input, the A 20 works easily with most sources. The input signal can be looped through and is entirely free from signal-loss thanks to the hard-wired RCA output. Due to the built-in power supply, which is connected via a detachable power cord (supplied), no external power supply is needed avoiding disturbing background noise. Thanks to the dual headphone jacks on the front, two people can listen to the A 20 together without an adapter cable. Two 6.35 mm headphone outputs Elegant and solid all-metal housing Particularly open, transparent sound Also suitable for 600 Ohms headphones

The sound is fantastic
I was lucky to get one A 20 from amazon wharehousedeals for a really reasonable price;) The package was a little bit damaged, but the item itself is just like new.The sound is fantastic. Everything sounds clear and precise. Fortunately the A20 is good for headphones with up to 600 ohm. Now I listen with my T1 Headphones for hours and find new details in my music. Espescially in classic music, the performance of the T1 is way better now, although it won t reach the AKG 1000, but those are not on the market anymore. In Rock, Blues etc. the Beyerdynamic with T1 and A20 is even better than the AKG 1000. In my opinion: the best you get for your money. There are better ones, but they cost unreasonebly much more. I think, it s no good, to pay 3 times as much for 5 percent better sound.Sorry for my English, but I am not a native speaker.

Supercharge your headphones
What a piece of kit! This is my first headphone amplifier, bought after days of research online, to power our two sets of AKG K702s. What an improvement it makes. Although still 'burning in' , the A20 is producing great results. I have never heard such punchy, solid, yet controlled bass and natural treble, without a trace of sybilance. As for the mid-range, vocals sound realistic and prominent, and percussion tight and solid. Now I want to play my entire CD collection (all 1300 of them) all over again, to hear them properly. Heaven knows what the A20 will sound like after a month of burning in! To anyone considering investing in a headphone amp - as long as you have a decent source and capable cans - I would say buy the A20 and hear your favourite music like you've never heard it before.

CLINICAL - HARSH AND VERY BRIGHT !!!
USING AKG K712 HEADPHONES AND LISTENING MOSTLY TO CLASSICAL PIANO AND STRING QUARTETS I FINDTHIS AMP CLINICALLY HARSH AND FAR TOO BRIGHT AND SHARP WITH A VERY WEEK LOWER MID RANGE WHICH MAKES LISTENING A FATIGUING EXPERIENCE AND NOT ONE I ENJOYED !!!

Great Sound.
I found this to be a very worthwhile upgrade to my system, way superior to what was supplied with my Rega Brio R amp.The sound stage is much better defined , instruments and vocals appear cleaner and the overall sound is closer to stand alone speakers. Music listened to includes Jazz, Funk,Soul and Blues. I highly recommend this product.
