DEE ZEEDZ16221 NXc Mounting Bracket for Ford Explorer 12-19

Bought the black runnin board for my 2016 Ford Explorer. The brackets where a pain because I had to improvise on placing one in and how am I going to tighten because there’s nothing for the bracket to hold. So I had a long tweezer and I used that to hold the bracket and I tighten the screw. The front side you have to be careful because it’s not leveled like the back. So I place the screw bracket inside and it slipped down. I had to get a magnet and find the bracket. In the end it all fit good. It feels good. Doesn’t feel like 100 strong. As in a heavy person stepping on it is be concern. The instructions came in a cheap ass paper. I had to go on deezee website to see it. But those instructions were also kind not perfect but like I said improvise

Good product. No missing parts. Instructions were exactly perfect for my vehicle (2013 Ford Explorer), and they even had REAL pictures, not just drawings which were super helpful. Brackets seem very sturdy. A word of caution: installation involves positioning little brackets into holes that are already on the underside of your car. If you aren't careful, those brackets will disappear up into those holes and be lost forever! We let one get away from us, but luckily we had a magnet to get it back out. Just be really careful not to accidentally knock it into the hole, and you'll be fine.

A little tricky getting some of the bolts to catch, but you'll understand why when you are under your car. I did not need to lift my 2016 XLT to install these. Overall, good buy for the price.

Great running boards. Really well made and look great. The mounting of the brackets (admittedly sold separately but required for installation), especially the rears, are atrocious and truly a pain to install.

The way Ford made the frame made for an interesting installation of the rear brackets. Once I figured out that I needed to take the nut on and off several times before I tried to install it went easy. Total time for all four was about 45 minutes. Could have been much less if I had had an air wrench.Works great.

I installed the brackets and running boards in just a short time without lifting the vehicle. I did have an issue with one bolt/nut snapping and the manufacturer replaced the hardware in a few days but that was my fault for over tightening the bolts.

Instructions are okay but could have clearer pictures that aren’t just a photocopy. Install was easy but a pain because the bolts spin in the holes at first. Rusty mounting positions make it harder too but they aren’t a match for a hammer.
