Start off by saying this thing works but for how long is the question. Probably best to buy better quality then throwing this one away after couple of uses. There is no on-off switch but nothing about how to turn on in instructions! Holding down the one button turns on then can pair. The big problem though is that battery cover on back is just barely hanging on after it is locked in place, I opened and closed several times just to find out that its just cheap poorly constructed and ready to fall apart. Did get an extra battery with device so probably worth it if I'm ready to scotch tape the battery flap soon as it breaks.

I purchased the shutter remote control back in the beginning of September and I never used it until we were ready to take the family pictures I had planned for our Christmas card in December. Of course I had the rare problem where our iPhones would not recognize the device, which I would have known had I tested it earlier. I contacted the seller even though I was way past the time to return it. The seller jumped through hoops in answering my emails to troubleshoot and eventually found that I must be the rare case with this problem. The seller immediately sent me out a new remote after all avenues of the troubleshooting were exhausted. The new remote worked perfectly and installed just as described. Thank you for the phenomenal customer service and a great product.

This junk worked for roughly 2-3 months then failed during a video assignment. There's no on/off button so the remote is always on. The sellers quite deceptively do not show all sides of the remote so I made the mistake of assuming it had an on and off button. Replacing the nickel battery is a cinch but if it's not placed precisely the remote will no longer work. I wanted a cheaper alternative than buying an Apple Watch to record video from my phone remotely and this cheap remote did the trick for a short time. But all good cheap things come to an end. And by end I mean fail unexpectedly during crucial times.

There is a bit of a lag so difficult to get photos timed right. It doesn't stay connected to Bluetooth well. No power off button for when not in use. Battery is hard to put in.

Works great! Will be used for macro photography so I can capture photos without moving my phone for a clearer picture.

Works perfectly as a camera/video shutter on a OnePlus 5 with the native camera app.

One slight knock and the battery dislodged. Attempting to replace and get it working was a frustrating exercise and didn't result in it working. When replacing the lid... it jammed and now the thing is useless.

I like the simplicity of this product.The remote is simple and quick to set up and pair to your device.It is very simple to operate.Press the button to take a picture & press the button to start & stop a video.It is fast and responsive.Included is a spare 3V lithium(coin/button cell) battery.Also included is a zip lock pouch, which is useful for keeping it all together organised, for storage and transportation.The remote is very lightweight and compact. Included is a lanyard & carabiner for quick access on the go.I would recommend keeping the remote attached to the lanyard as it is quite small and could be easily lost/ and or misplaced. Howether I like its small form factor, making it ideal for travel and carrying around.It is useful if you wish to take selfies or group photos by leaning your phone against an object, such as a wall acting as a makeshift tripod.The remote has a maximum range of 30 feet (10m), which is more than enough.I have been using the remote with my device mounted to a tripod.It is a great setup with the Bluetooth Remote Control by CamKix.It enables me to operate my devices shutter without having to press the button on the device.Overall I enjoy using this product. It is a good product, which is very useful.

This product arrived in bits. Literally looked like someone put it on the floor and smashed it with a hammer.. even the really tough metal parts are smashed in. This wasn’t just dropped or stepped on, something very heavy crushed the package.

worked out of the box then less than an hour later it stopped working.Tried replacing battery with the one included and it still didn't work, has been returned.
