Works as expected. Great product, great value.
I have a couple of the EAP 225s and 235s in my home LAN, hooked into a network switch, and managed by the Omada hardware controller. I've been running this setup since 2021 and have been happy with the experience. I can bring WiFi into any room that has an ethernet hookup to the network switch, and the WiFi access point setup is effortless. I highly recommend this approach to someone that knows what they're doing, and wants a cost-effective way to build out their home LAN with both wired and wireless connections.

Easy install and setup. Strong signal. Concealable.
This is a nice looking unit that also lends itself to unobtrusive installation. I've repurposed a TV + ethernet plate into a dedicated wifi access point with this. It is unobtrusive, but also low profile enough that I can conceal it behind a painting hung on the wall. Setup of the wifi was a breeze, taking only a couple of minutes and I now get a strong signal throughout my house. My only warning is that it does require POE and despite some answers in the Q/A section, it does not come with its own POE injector. TP-Link makes a very affordable gigabit POE injector, so that's a good option that adds just a bit to the price of the access point.

It was working in about 30 seconds after I plugged it in.
I have an Omada controller and in about 30 seconds from when I plugged it in and selected it to be managed by my controller and it was automatically programed and running. I live on a ranch and have a number of Omada APs. All of them work great, I blanket about 6 acres right now with wifi and the system smoothly hands users off from one to the other. I can do wifi calls without missing a beat in all of my barns and out buildings. I have no complaints. I would and have recommended this to others.

Good AP
Good AP. Unobtrusive and good coverage..My only gripe with it is that it operates at 10/100 and not at the standard 10/100/1000 rates most APs support nowadays.

EAP 225 WALL units bring wifi and a wired connection to a non wifi covered room
These wall units work perfectly once you get their update performed. I'm using two units in separate bedrooms and I am able to turn their power outputs down to low. And using these with an oc200 controller makes these super simple to tweak settings and see what's connected. Excellent product. Just make sure you order the proper wattage POE injector or run a POE out switch.

Not what you think!
I bought 2 of these to go along with the rest of my TP link Omada system and wish I hadn’t. Pay close attention to the description of this product. It states that it works with the Omada app but does not specifically state that it works with mesh and fast roaming. That’s because it doesn’t. Also, the POE pass through does not work on either of the two I bought. One review said the POE needed to be turned on in the app but I can not find anywhere to do that. I ran hard lines through my attic and walls just for these units and it was a waste of time. I went ahead and left them installed instead of sending them back because it was just easier than returning them. I went into the app and disabled the radios so the rest of my access points could work properly. Although the poe portion of the access point does not work, I am still able to use the 3 Ethernet ports as a Ethernet switch if ever needed. Waste of my money.

It's great and makes for a clean install BUT
The EAP and Omada architecture, in general, is fantastic so far however there's one MAJOR downfall about the EAP 225 in wall...The LAN ports only support 10/100 mbps speeds (full-duplex)It will not at work as a mesh node for any other TP-link product or EAP225 wall.Bear in mind it does say this in the description. I just foolishly missed it myself. If I had properly researched this I would have never bought this product because it's essentially useless for any modern wireless network. It's kind of strange they even put a 5Ghz radio in this to begin with. I mean... why? You couldn't ever utilize the speeds anyway. So three stars it gets. Just spend the extra 20-30 bucks and get the EAP 225 outdoor or regular 225.

surprisingly strong wifi signal
I wasn't expecting too much from this and very please and surprised by the performance. I wanted something that looked clean on the wall with an ethernet port -- This product looks good with minimal extending profile and has two ports. I also wanted something that would serve as a wifi access point.. which this product does well.. MUCH better than expected. I have Netgear R7000 and Unifi Pro wifi in my house, and the performance on this item is surprisingly comparable. The wifi coverage range is a lot better than I ever imagined. The only negative comment on this item is the surface feels too warm to touch. It's not burning warm, but would be nice if it did a better job at managing heat.
