12/21 Update: The BEST IS EVEN BETTER! - It no longer has a coal tar smell, in my opinion - it's much more like a regular shampoo - The texture is creamier than before and lathers better - Menthol is no longer listed as an active ingredient; it's in the other ingredients section. It feels just as good and refreshing as before. - Vitamin E is still in the mix, just listed with its scientific name - I believe Sunflower Oil is listed as a new other ingredient. I'm very pleased to see this because it's an ingredient in many strong psoriasis/eczema products Overall, I'm very pleased to report that the product is back and better than ever. I tried everything I could in its absence and all failed within weeks. Super happy Denerox is back and I highly recommend it! Usage tips: Week 1: Massage into scalp for 1 min. Let it sit for 4 min. Rinse & repeat. You’ll find a lot of dandruff falling off through the day. Don’t be alarmed it is working, it’s clearing the scales off your scalp. If substantial, use something like the Nizoral Scalp Comb to help lift flakes off the scalp. For the first week it may sting a little while shampooing. This goes away week 2 as Denorex heals & strengthens your scalp. Week 2: Same as above, can likely reduce the sitting time to 2 minutes. Week 3: Same as above, but you can likely drop the immediate repeat. Other products that pair well: If you have dry skin or hair, try pure cliganic argan oil. Apply 30min before shower and then shampoo, for 5 days to restore balance and silky hair. For styling marc anthony argan oil smoothing cream is great. For additional conditioning try Avalon Organics Lemon. Original Review: There is no better product for scalp psoriasis. I've used Denorex coal tar shampoo since 2015. It provided 100% relief (flakes, itch) during this time. On top of that, hair looked great (smooth, healthy shine, and good body) and the menthol made every morning shower refreshing. I also found Denorex to keep my hair black, helping me age well. Denorex gave me a 10-year run of living life with confidence without the need to run to costly Clobetasol. I ran out of Denorex at the end of May and have tried everything under the sun: - MG217 3% - liked it at first, but then noticed it discolored my forehead, making my skin appear sunburned. They have also discontinued the formula and went down to 0.5% - Berks - liked it at first, but after 4 weeks the 0.5% formula was overcome - Roycederm - is not a 2% formula, but a 0.5% formula - Tarsum - very strange, even though it says it's a 2% formula, it did little. It's probably best used as a leave-in product; I'm not sure how to do that without staining everything. - SEBCUR/T - the only product that could keep the psoriasis at bay for an extended period of time. However, the salicylic acid seemed to have a negative reaction with my face, causing skin lesions unless eczema cream was used to compensate. It also could not relief itch like Denorex. I'm praying that Denorex coal tar returns to the USA. And that the Canadian formula returns to Canada. This is one of my lifetime favorite products, and I think it can help bring confidence & relief to many people. Please bring it back!

My scalp is dry and itchy, and my itching is gone, great product, highly reccommend.

It works great leaves my hair clean

Sure it stinks. But catching faint whiffs of the La brea Tar pits is worth it. No standard dandruff here. My entire scalp was covered in skin scabs. When scratching without thinking huge chunks of skin floated onto whatever I was near. Or worse, stuck in my hair. Now I'd say it is 80% better. No more dragging out the vacuum, just manageable itching. I just use regular shampoo if I'm doing something in close contact with other people. 😉

Works great, and my hair is soft and smells nice after using, but the price has become really, really ridiculous, so this may be my last purchase. I will be trying other brands next.

I have psoriasis and tend to get a lot of inflammation and itching around my neck and scalp. This is honestly the only product that consistently works for me. The tingling sensation feels really soothing and helps calm the itch almost immediately. I don't love the smell, but it’s worth it for how effective it is. If you’re dealing with similar symptoms, this has been a game changer for me!

For some reason, I developed a severe itching problem on my scalp. I tried all sorts of dandruff shampoo, but nothing seemed to help. So, I bought some of this stuff. What a difference it made. After a couple of days, I can tell the difference. I may have to only use this two times a week. No itchy scalp. It makes your scalp tingle for a while, but it is a welcome relief of the itching. The initial fragrance reminds me of Creomulsion cough syrup. That probably tells something about my age. The fragrance goes away after you rinse out the soap, so it is not a problem. Love this stuff.
