Tastes good, but as others stated it was as good as couverture. I completely disagree. It is grainy and now I don't know what to do with it. It might be good for melting, but don't try to temper it. A complete waste of time.

This is fine in a pinch, or if you don't want to spend a lot, but if you're looking for good dark chocolate, skip this product. I say this, primarily, because it's not dark chocolate. It's barely even chocolate. The primary ingredient is sugar, not cocoa. The second ingredient is palm/palm kernal oil. In other words, YUCK. It's pretty thick when tempered, and you won't get the same results as when you work with the good stuff.The price is pretty good if quality isn't an issue, and sometimes it isn't. Depending on what you're doing, though, you may just want to check the price on better-quality chocolate chips at the grocery store. If you're feeling flush, bite the bullet and spring for the good stuff (Cocoa Barry, Valrhona).

This chocolate is just so expensive to buy in the store. For anyone who is serious about making chocolate this is perfect. It shipped quickly and came in perfect condition. It melts beautifully, tastes amazing thanks to this product I made award-winning chocolates for the holidays! I will agree with the other reviewer: I ended up running out but that's just because I went little crazy with the truffles... We may have enough until Easter :)

Although it tastes pretty good, this is not dark chocolate. It's flavored trans fat, partially hydrogenated palm kernel oil, and soy. I should have known the price was wrong for good chocolate and I will never make the same mistake again. This is the first time I've been so deeply disappointed by an Amazon purchase.

This is bitter chocolate suitable for baking, not dipping or candy making. I bought 5 pounds thinking it as for making candy. Wow! Was I surprised when I tasted it. If I missed something in the description, I can't find it. Very disappointing.

This stuff was great. It didn't go as far as I expected, but after talking to another truffle maker, my expectations weren't realistic and it went as far as any experienced candy maker would expect. The taste and consistency was perfect for the truffles I was making.

Well-packed, arrived safely. Wafers have a nice flavor with depth and interest, not just burnt-tasting like some chocolate. One of my regular purchases.
