Boye Suede Slipper Sole, Medium

The soles are fine, although they're more white than the picture suggests.But I'm frustrated by the crochet directions. Using the suggested hook (F) and yarn, I ended up with something WAY too big -- gauge is nearly TWICE what the pattern calls for. I even found and contacted the pattern's author on Facebook, wondering if the pattern had been misprinted. Nope. Before I rip it all apart, I'm going to try making the small slipper, instead of the large, to see if that makes something in my size. If that doesn't work -- I guess I might try a smaller hook, if my old arthritic hands can use it. If ANYone has any suggestions, I'd appreciate them.

I sewed these soles to my handmade felted slippers and they are perfect. They fit my slippers and had a nice light padding to save the wear and tear on my slippers. I purchased them after I noticed a hole starting to wear in the heel of one slipper. I caught it just in time and they are good to go now. These also prevent slipping which is a plus. Very easy to sew on and true to size.

The transaction was fine, but it wasn't very clear that these have an inner lining. I was planning on using them for some felted slippers and I'm not sure they'll work. I'll have to cut the lining out, I think. A better picture would have helped. But who would want an acrylic lining on slippers anyway?? I want to keep my feet warm, not sweaty!

I found the holes a little on the small side on the first row. I had to use an extremely small crochet hook for that starting row. Once finished, the slippers are enthusiastically received and worn. To avoid dangersou falls, I suggest a non-slip material be applied to the sole if these are to be worn in a house with stairs.

This is just what I wanted; however, I really would have appreciated some simple illustrations along with the written crochet/knitting instructions.

I knew people used to make slipper soles and I wanted to crochet some slippers. I did not want the bottoms to wear out fast and wanted to be able to go out on the porch if I needed to in my slippers. These are the perfect answer, they are so comfortable. Hope others find this wonderful product.

I made several pairs of slippers as gifts this year. They are great and with the pre punched holes fast to sew into your slippers because this much be done by hand.

These slipper soles are made of good, thick suede with a cosy, furry lining. My problem with the pair I bought is that the two soles are completely different shapes. One has a rounded toe and could be used for either foot, like the illustrated package on the Amazon page. But the other one has a slanted, pointy toe that could only be used for a right foot! I also found the holes for sewing were too close together, which made the sewing too dense and clumsy looking, as I needed to use a thickish thread.In the end, I removed these soles from my crocheted slipper socks and used Regia black leather ones (from ebay), which I like much better.In retrospect, it's possible the Boye soles I received were a faulty pair and should have been sent back, so I've given 3 stars instead of the two I was going to give originally.

I was actually looking for just a sole (not with the edges to sew into a knitted slipper boot), so I adjusted them slightly when i got them. But other than that they were really good quality with a nice lining.
