How to Cheat in Photoshop, Third Edition: The art of creating photorealistic montages - updated for CS2 3rd Edition

I have reviewed Mr. Caplin's other books in this series. This edition is a good start, and contains some material not repeated in later editions. It gets a "4" only because it is dated w/ respect to the current software.If you buy this book- and I recommend it, especially for less than $1.00- consider it an introduction to his later Photoshop manuals.Also see my reviews of " Art & Design in Photoshop," "How to Cheat (in CS4), and of Photoshop CS 1 for Mac.

Every project is a lot of fun, and although I didn't initially buy it to get better at Photoshop (I just wanted to do the fun projects), I ended up learning so much more from this book than with books I bought to specifically learn Photoshop because I got bored with the big traditional books.

Photoshop tricks never get old. This is one of my first books to start learning deeper Photoshop.

Great hints and techniques. Clear descriptions and explanations. I learned a lot and that comes after taking several college classes on Photoshop.

This book is amazing! The tricks and tips are so much fun to try out, and some of the stuff in here is just unbelievably amazing! I absolutely love Photoshop, and it is so much fun learning how to do cool new things to amaze your friends! The projects in here are so creative. And the book also comes with a CD so you can try out the projects described in the book. Excellent book!!!

Just got into this book and I love it already. It may help for you to have another book along for tool and palette reference. The accompanying cd-rom is a great help, but i just wish that it had more videos. This book is definitely one of the top P Adobe Photoshop CS2 One-on-One (One-On-One) hotoshop books that I own.

I like this book but I was disappointed because it didnt come with the disc. But this book is very good and helpful to learn about photoshop

This is an excellent hands-on tutorial in getting the most out of Photoshop CS2, Ostensibly about creating realistic-looking photomontages (though most of the examples wouldn't fool someone who's paying attention), this book is actually for anyone who has struggled to learn about layers and masks and levels. It's accessible and fun.

I recently borrowed this book from a friend, and after going through a couple of chapters, I just new, I had to add this book to my libraryit is extremely informative as a training manual and allows you to pick and choose which project to jump into,if you are serious about photoshopyou will definitely learn a lot more skills from this book.

Useful even if a little out of date,but can apply some ideas still.Pity the CD was missing from the back of the book
