Mercedes R107 R129 W113 SL600 SL320 500SL 450SL Hard Top Storage Cart URO PARTS

Bought this for the removable top of a M-B (R129) 300 SL.Just finished putting it together. The rack was relatively easy to assemble using the one page illustration/instructive, which is short on text, but effective. Paying Due Attention and through brief trial and error, I had it up and ready in about 30 minutes. A very basic but necessary/handy 13mm wrench is provided; as noted in the assembly illustration, you'll need a 17mm wrench or socket to accomplish the task. Most importantly, the product arrived on schedule, and I am fully satisfied with the quality and look of the rack. The nice black paint should keep it rust-free for years, especially with the included cover, and in a fairly dry garage. My only re-design suggestion is to make the wheel bolts shorter. I had to use a box wrench to finish the job because my 17mm socket was too short.The only weak point was the shipping package (not Amazon, of course). Not sure which of the three parties in the chain were most responsible, but it's generally shared. Good thing this was not a fragile product, and that no nuts nor bolts slipped out of the openings. Alls well that ends well.

A bit tricky to assemble.

Good product, fits r129 hardtop perfectly. The problem is the foam. It was being shredded when I put the hardtop on. The foam seems to be one-time use because it’s so cheap. Be very delicate with it.
