Nerf Rival Hypnos XIX-1200 (Blue)

First off, this blaster is awesome. It looks absolutely amazing. I looove the almost sci-fi, futuristic, modern combat-type look this thing has. The ergonomics of this blaster is also wonderfully done. The grip is super comfortable, the stock is long enough for a 6' 3" guy like myself, but it wouldn't be uncomfortable for someone with shorter arms. I was also super happy to see that this blaster includes an extra magazine. I have only a couple minor gripes, but nothing that take away from the quality of this super sweet blaster. I am unaccustomed to the 12-round rival stick mag, so I didn't know how easy the rounds pop out. This is a problem when attempting to use the rail on the side to hold the extra mag, since jostling could pop the balls out. The magazine also moves around a lot when using this side rail, so I would not recommend using that for anything other than storage. However, the side rail will fit the Rival flashlight, which will be helpful for me, since I will be playing a low-light nerf battle next week. Another knock against this otherwise perfect blaster is that it is not equipped with slamfire, nor does it shoot the two darts at a time that the Atlas does. Unfortunately, it does not seem like you can double load two rounds into the same shot, the same way you can with the Kronos or the Helios.Overall, very impressed with this design, and I will be using this one for my Nerf war this week. =)

Great Nerf gun at a reasonable price. The Rival series are the best Nerf has to offer, and the Hypnos does not disappoint. The folding stock means both my very tall husband and my 7 year old can both use the gun with comfort and ease. The shotgun style pump action is a LOT easier for my son to use than the top side pump action, so he can more easily keep up during Nerf battles. Being able to store a second magazine on the gun means more fun before reloading. We may add a strap for my son since it is a bit bigger and heavier. We got one in red, one in blue, and I’m going to order one more for mom!

Great gun, great accuracy. People say that the gun has inconsistent FPS but that is do to human error. You have to be deliberate with your priming. If you don’t prime it back enough you might find that you can prime it back another half inch, if so, prime it back that half inch and it will make all that difference, listen to coop772 on YouTube to understand better about what I am trying to tell you. I recommend this gun highly.

I love this nerf blaster and will defeat my friends in a nerf war with it. But it could be a bit more accurate. the rounds really hurt when they hit skin. The rounds are a VERY bouncy and hard foam like item. I'm 12 years old and I think it looks a bit like a weapon from Halo. Just saying. But overall the blaster is amazing and love it. It's a bit hard when you use the pump handle so it takes a bit to get used to. love this blaster and recommend you use eye wear when being blasted at with this. :)

I initially thought it was broke, and then found out it was the aftermarket balls I was using for it. I bought some amazon cheapo balls for the other blasters and when I use them in the Hypnos the gun wants to pull all/several balls at once instead of 1 at a time. So as long as I use the genuine Nerf balls, it works flawlessly and is a GREAT gun. Very fun to play nerf wars with my sons.

my grandsons have a wall of nerf guns, some modified. the youngest had researched it and of course asked grandmama and I of course sat down and burned up Amazon for what grandson wanted. Yes, he is spoiled, but NOT rotten. Once seen, the other grandson wanted one, and of course gm ordered it. they both seemed very happy about these.

the look of this thing is just great, and its folding stock and reload mechanic are just fantastic. I will say that you should make sure you are very direct with your pump action with this blaster...make sure you pump it all the way back for the round to enter the chamber properly otherwise your shot may come out with a lower velocity. I just love the look of this gun and its so great to hold and operate.

This was sooooo much fun to use!!! I wasn’t sure what to expect when I got this but it’s got a lot of power to it!! The only downside is the batteries, but you can buy the rechargeable ones on amazon too. Also loved the huge capacity for ammo!!! No need to keep reloading, so I definitely won the nerf battle in our office!!!
