Mixed opinions from three girls - majority think it’s “cringe”.
A nice set but I felt like there wasn’t enough to make a whole lot. So I decided to invite three of my little cousins over to gauge their opinions for a fairer review, all different ages. The four year old thought it was fun, the five and seven year old however, thought the pieces looked really “babyish”, too much like toys that come from the pound shop and we’re not actually wearable unless you were four. Five and seven and they had literally wanted their jewellery to look a little less juvenile and more adult and “real”. Thus, the oldest two lost interest halfway through and it ended with me making them myself. Everything is very easy to do without needing much instruction. The colours are bright and cheerful but there isn’t enough to really give the children any actual creativity - the designs are already laid out for you, no matter what you pick out, the items are going to look basically the same. This was also why the five and seven year old got a bit frustrated because they had each wanted to have an item that looked different but there wasn’t much to choose from so it stunted their creativity and bored them quickly. The seven year old alluded to the end jewellery looking like the youngest had made them and that there was no way they’d be caught dead wearing them - seven year old remarked “I saw something like it for 50p in B&M. It’s really cringe.” Then the five year old decided to also say “yeah, it’s cringe”... (kids these days, sheesh). For two of us it was a fun hour or so, for the other two it was ten minutes of rifling through bits, getting bored and going to watch YouTubers open boxes lol.Think really this needed more variety, it just really did, from what I saw myself, limit any real creativity with the girls and so there was no fun for them. The fun in making things is being able to make something feel and look personal but you don’t get that here. I think for very spoiled children who already have been lavished with real gold or silver jewellery and charm bracelets as kids these days seem to be, this might not hold any real joy or be remotely impressive.

Cheap and cheerful
These are okay, not brilliant (that's my opinion, as someone who hates "cheap tat") although a friend's daughter who is quite creative (age 5) thought they were fantastic. So probably a good birthday present for a 4-6 year old but beyond that range, too basic.

Aimed at wrong age group
The recommended age for this set is aged 5 and up...I think actually the right age for this set in aged 4-5years. My nine year old daughter would not even open the box, as it looked 'babyish'. The beads are far too plasticky and big for a more mature age group.

Fun for a short while
Good fun for a few hours, perhaps would be better with friends. The set contains various beads and four lockets which are made of see-through plastic and which you can open up and put shiny glittery things inside. Not a huge selection of things to choose from, so more of an introduction to making a beaded necklace or maybe a party activity.

Good craft set for 6-10 year olds
A nice craft set that will provide a few hours of fun. Idea age range is probably 6-10.

Passes the time
My daughters aged 8 and 11 spent an afternoon putting the lockets together and really rather enjoyed themselves. Neither would actually wear them out of the house and the lockets are now on their teddy bears. Probably best suited to children aged about 5 -6, but still good fun for most children.
