Bialetti DAMA Glamour Espresso Maker, Silver/Black

This is a prettier version on the basic Bialetti Moka, and for some reason, it has a slightly nicer finish on the inside. I suspect it's the same coating, but they ground/sanded the inside smoother before they applied it. Given you only put water in the base, that may not matter from a functional point of view.Anyway, this "Espresso Maker" makes 3 to 4 ounces of Moka, which is similar to espresso. Only the steam touches the coffee, so your ground beans don't sit in the water as much as with a french press, but the "espresso" is still stronger than from a french press, and not quite as bitter as a french press in my opinion.This is a very nice little model, and I've been very happy with it. I highly recommend the ilsa 5" gas ring reducer to use with it if you have a gas stove! Actually, I recommend the trivet for simmering in small pots or just to have. I bought both at the same time, and love them both.

I love my tiny little espresso maker -- I may go back for a larger one; when it says "3 Cups" that means three shots...I would like to make at least 4 shots at a time, though 6 would be even better!Anyway, the size was my only confusion -- it is tiny but worth it.Oh -- it is very important that you clean it out once it's cooled -- don't let the grounds sit in the pot too long because it will rust!We made that mistake -- I was able to buff it out with steel wool and then ran a few cycles through to get it back on track.When you wash it, you don't use soap, so the espresso tastes better the more you use it.I hope this is helpful! Though different to the Moka break it completes a different Moka collection. This expresso coffee maker corresponds very much to what it is advertised.

Optik ist ja nicht alles - aber doch viel. Tolles Design, eben italienisch, und tolle Farbe. Und der Espresso (der ja wohl eigentlich ein Mokka ist) gelingt auch sehr gut.Achtung: der unangenehme Geruch/Geschmack am Anfang verschwindet, aber so richtig erst nach dem ca. 10. Kochen. Also: billigen Kaffee kaufen, etwas Zeit investieren und die ersten 10 Espresso in den Ausguss.Menge reicht für einen großen Milchkaffee (oder eben 2 - 3 kleine Espressotassen).Da Kochfelder ja immer zu groß sind für diese für Gas konzipierten Kocher, habe ich mir eine kleine elektrische Kochplatte dazu gekauft. Die Wärme kommt dann wirklich nur von unten und die schöne Lackierung leidet nicht. Daneben stehen bleiben (dauert nicht lange) und sofort von der Platte, wenn der Kaffee oben angekommen ist.

I have five stove-top espresso pots and this is my favourite. It makes plenty of coffee for two (or even three) people in the morning. The construction is great. It pours without spilling. The handle is a good size, easy to hold. Bialetti in general is excellent quality, but this particular model is especially nice.

Ich war auf der Suche nach einer einer kleineren Alternative zu der größeren 6 Tassen Kanne die ich mit meiner Freundin immer zu zweit benutze. Für eine große Tasse Cappucino oder zwei kleine habe ich nun diese Variante Dama bestellt und bin super zufrieden. Der "Espresso" oder eigentlich Mokka hat die bekannte Bialetti Qualität und kommt zusätzlich noch in einem super schicken Outfit daher. Ist ein super Blickfang für alle die nur die üblichen "Alu"-Kocher kennen und ein ideales Geschenk.Orginalpreis hat es in sich, aber als Angebot eine wirkliche Kaufempfehlung!

verarbeitung is top. alles sieht und fühlt sich sehr hochwertig an, gerade im vgl. zu anderen mokka expresskocher.einziger minuspunkt: der griff wird heiß. am besten tuch benutzen.

Habe mir den Bialetti Dama Espresso Kocher gekauft, hatte ihn bei freunden gesehen & dort Espresso getrunken. Musste ich natürlich gleich selber haben. Weil ich gerne Espresso trinke, hatte ich mir eine Philips Senseo gekauft, die auch Espresso kann. Dachte ich, aber überhaupt kein vergleich zum Bialetti Espresso kocher!!! Zumal der Bialetti Espresso Kocher eh günstiger ist. Deshalb 5.Sterne. *****
