Excellent
Recommended specifically for children when a half unit may make a big difference.

Great pen...
The timer is the best bit. Inject yourself and then whenever you click down the top it'll show how long it's been since your last dose. Vital if like me you sometimes have to ask yourself "Did I give myself my insulin?" A quick click and your question is answered. It's not cheap but I think it repays you in peace of mind.

Well made device
The Echo is a well made device with a deceptively simple mechanism for keeping track of the size and time of the last dose administered. This saves a lot of headaches trying to remember when the last dose was, and potentially prevents a missed dose or a double dose, either of which could have serious consequences. The pen is well made, reliable, and has a handy clip to stop it falling out of your pocket. Its nemesis, as with all similar pens, is sand and gritty dirt. Once this gets in the mechanism there isn't really much going back and it is likely to be a write off. So keep it in a zip-lock bag or similar at the beach!Overall though a great device.(Note that in the UK these are available on prescription; I bought this here on Amazon in an emergency when I moved house and lost one)

Same Cartridge holder weakness as all other Novopens!
As the title suggests, this pen like ALL others I have had since the Novopen 3 have broken at the 300 unit graduation. Once the holder breaks the pen is useless and Novo have today told me that spares are not available, so this expensive pen is now defunct for the sake of a plastic part costing a few pence. To reiterate EVERY pen (8+) I have had has broken in the same place. Poor customer experience but obviously good business sense from Novo to build in a fault that forces a new purchase periodically. Now discontinued, my len 5 will need to be replaced with a pen 6 at a cost of around £50.
