Form over Function - beautiful piece
I purchased this Kizer for the art deco look and am not disappointed. In addition to looking awesome it’s very well made with all the right materials. This was my first Kizer and I’ve since purchased 3 others. About this knife. It’s more fashion than form. The hand position is a little weird in relation to the blade (you feel far back) and the way the scales taper toward the end make holding it feel unnatural. The detent is also way weaker than other Kizers (think PM 2 or 3). It’s a great knife and show piece but would not be my first choice of EDC if I knew I would have to use it hard that day. I would choose the Kizer Guru (incredible) or Aileon for that. If you can have 1 Kizer and it’s your main EDC I would not choose the Theta. If you have a “collection” then this is a collection must.Hopes this helps someone out.

Nifty knife with great utility
There is a lot to like about this knife. First, the materials are definitely premium - this isn't some cheap knife to abuse and throw away. It is made of high quality materials (titanium frame and S35VN blade) that should last a lifetime with only very limited maintenance. Second, the design aesthetic is really nice. The lines a crisp and clean. Third, the blade shape is ideal for everyday use. From opening boxes to stripping wires to peeling an apple this is a great shape for daily use. Yes, you could use it to cut carpet but there are knifes with disposable blades that are designed for this, this is everyday use. The only gripe I have is that the handle is a little small, they seem to have prioritized form over function as even with relatively small hands it could use a little more bulk if you were going to consider any heavy-duty tasks with this knife. Overall though I really like it, very solid, strong lockup, nice design.

Exclvellent craftsmanship and a slicer
Overall it’s a five star folder - it’s only let down by the rather weak detent.I know the Isham design folders tend to have “weaker” detent. However the Kizer execution of the design took that one sticking point to the extreme. That’s the only negative. It is a handsome knife with a functional grind for any pocket knife tasks. Food prep is excellent in that there are no flipper tab or any other protrusions to get in the way of the blade.Great finish on the blade is expected from Kizer as is the sharpness out of the box.Highly recommend to anyone that understands what it means to have a pocket knife with a weaker than usual detent since that affects both the opening action as well the retention of the blade in the pocket.

Smooth, Stunning, and absolutley Flawless EDC Knife
Absolutely Stunning knife. I could not be more pleased with it and this is my first wharncliffe style blade and will not be my last. This is also my 4th knife made by Kizer and the quality on each one is really 2nd to none. The open and closing action is smooth as butta and the titanium handle gives it nice weight without making it too heavy. I would highly suggest getting, if not this knife, any other Kizer knife. I guarantee You will not be disappointed!

Beautiful Design
I fell in love with the design and purchased the knife after reading/viewing a couple of reviews. Like with many Kizers, it arrived slathered in low quality oil. After a quick cleaning and lubrication, the knife deployed more smoothly. The somewhat weak detent, combined with a minimalist, vertically located flipper tab, means that deployment is smooth if not authoritative. After a few days of fidget flipping, the knife now performs beautifully. As others have pointed out, the ergos are not the best but I'm willing to put up with a somewhat undersized handle/frame given the beauty of Isham's design. The blade arrived as sharp as any I've owned but I wish the stock were a little thinner and that the spine was crowned and/or jimped. Building quality is right up there with the WE and Reate knives I own or have owned.Overall, I'm loving this knife, primarily for it's angular, futuristic looks and blade.

It really is a great knife
I really like this knife. You have to push down on the tip of the Flipper to get it to flip good. But once you get the action figured out it works great. The blade is a little thick, but its sharp. Build quality is great, it's a nice design, good materials. A+

Kizer Theta.....nice!
I like the knife and it came in a very timely manner. The sleeve that covers the box was torn. That probably doesn’t matter to most but it’s a pretty big deal to a collector. Thus 4 stars....
