This works. But realize the toner cartridge itself can (and does) wear out...
I used this kit to refill the black toner on my magicolor 1600W.I still have the cyan, magenta and yellow toner bottles ready when those run out. This just works. Video is clear, but it seems 'wrong' on first view, as if itcan't REALLY be that easy. But it is.==============================================================UPDATE: I refilled my black toner to 100%, and over time ran it down to about50%, and then the black toner cartridge went kaput. Prints were horribly wacky. Not sure what 'broke'.Just a heads up: Although the refills work nice, and the new chip resets it properly, the physical cartridge itself apparently has only so much life... then it dies. WhenI put in a partially used black cartridge I had around, voila, printer works perfectly again.==============================================================I had a LITTLE trouble removing the old toner 'cap'. It was rather flimsy yet tight,so was tearing as I pulled on the little lip with my pliers, BUT it took me less thana minute of futzing to get it to come out.Pouring out the old toner was simple. A few raps on the side of the cartridge (withhalf the cartridge inside a plastic bag as shown in the video), and out it came.Vacuuming was the next step, and was simple (vacuuming every last bit of the old tonerout of every nook and cranny, including vacuuming it out of the toner hole). You do needsome kind of 'crevice' tool on the vacuum hose to do it right.Cut the tip off one of the supplied nipple caps and screw it onto the toner bottle. Thenput the nipple into the toner hole and turn the bottle upside down and just 'squirt' thetoner into the toner hole just like you're squirting ketchup. Keep squirting till all thetoner is out of the bottle. Then it's time to put the new (supplied) toner cap into the toner hole. At first I thoughtthe new cap was too big! But after 5-10 seconds of work it started to go in and then10 seconds later that job was done too and no possible way it comes out on it's own.Last step is to replace the computer chip. The only 'trick' there is to look CLOSELY atexactly how the old chip is installed before you remove it, and put the new (supplied)chip in the same way. It *IS* possible to put it in upside down and/or backwards. Thatis NOT the fault of the refill kit, that's just how the toner cartridge is designed. You doneed a VERY tiny phillips head screwdriver (like for eyeglass screws).Pop the cartridge back in the computer and it shows 100% full, ready to go! Just exactlylike when I used to buy MUCH more expensive replacement cartridges.

Good colors and quality print
Good colors and quality printing, however, if you plan to keep your laser printer working for many years go with original consumables instead of this chinese toner. This toner ruined my printer after a second recharge causing the phototransfer unit to create a line in the drum that appeard on every printing. The cost of replacing that part was higher than a brand new more advanced color laser printer. So buy original toner as long as you can afford it.

A well spent $35 dollars
I was hesitant to buy them as previous attempts to refill ink cartridges ended bad. Anyway i was encouraged by Kurt Reichenbach's positive review. So i went ahead and purchased them. They shipped it the same day I placed the order and arrived much sooner yeah!Do watch the video first to give you and idea how to do it.Have ready a small phillips screw driver, plastics bags to collect used ink-dust, pliers, flat screw driver to remove cap & 2-4 paper towels and compressed air for electronics & of course the vacuum cleaner. For some reason when i tried to remove the plastic cap from the toner it went in. No need to worry! You can pull it out safely & it won't damage the inside of the toner. I used forceps used by surgeons. I have them b/c the computer work that I do.The 1st cartridge I did I made a bit of a mess even though I thought it out. Don't wear white shirt. I ended like a preschool teacher -full of colors -but it was fun doing them all while thinking "I saved $400 for OEM cartridges or $100 for compatible ones."Some tipsWhen vacuuming don't be afraid to grab the entire cartridge. It's hard plastic. No need to worry about electrostatic damaging the cartridge when vacuuming. If you don't have all the pieces like the video, use your fingers and form an O over the vacuum tube to avoid scratching the roller where the ink collects. You'll see this on the video where they use the brush add-on.I emptied the used ink-powder on the backyard & vacuumed it outside as well.-REPLACE THE CHIP UNTIL THE END!If you replace it first, you'll damage it when vacuuming it with the electrostatic vacuums produce.Totally recommend this purchase.I just printed my first flier. The red & blue have the same strong color as the previous flyer w/the OEM cartridges. The light grey on a graphic and dark purple letters came out exactly the same. -Good color!I'm so happy with this money saver kit. I will definitely buy it again when i run out. woohoo!
