Bright light & easy to mount with magnetic plates
Works great to light up the area under the needles of my embroidery machine. Gooseneck aids in adjustment. Purchased stick on metal plates for my counter so that I can position the magnet base where needed

Cool light!!
Very bright, flexible and cool looking. The batteries last a long, long time. You're able to dial it in from wide to narrow. It holds its shape and doesn't sag.

super bright, magnetic and flexible
I bought this for a weird project, but it is a fantastic light. Magnetic, can stick it on a fridge, etc, neck is super articulated and the light is really bright. Seems like a total win for a mechanic or someone who needs to get bright light in a tight spot. Totally worth the 20 bucks, or whatever it was.

Magnet is not strong enough, unstable on other surfaces
This gooseneck flashlight is pretty good, but I'm disappointed in the magnet strength. Considering how much surface area is available, I would expect an extremely strong magnet that could hold the flashlight sideways on a piece of metal, but the flashlight can't do that. I'm tempted to 3D print a magnet sleeve to augment the base. The other thing that surprises me is that the flashlight is generally unstable on a non-magnetic surface. I don't really understand why, because the base looks completely flat, but whenever I place the flashlight on a clearly flat surface, I have to contort the neck in order to prevent it from toppling over.

It's just right
This little lamp is bright enough for close tasks, very well made, small, and equipped with a good, strong magnet for clamping onto work surfaces. I use one on my drill press, router table, and miter saw station and they're perfect. And very inexpensive.

Excellent light for electronics bench work!
The long flexible gooseneck and the adjustable focused spot on this light makes seeing deep inside electronic equipment easy. No more struggling to see components, or holding a small flashlight in my teeth! A couple of pieces of scrap steel makes the light easy to move around and position where it’s needed. And it is not too big or bulky that it gets in the way of doing work inside the equipment. It is bright, but not too bright. The build quality at this price is excellent too. I like it so much that I am going to order another one!

NIce lamp, surprisingly well built
I've been on a long search for a lamp similar to the discontinued IKEA gooseneck "Jansjo" lamp and I believe I have found a worthy contender -- one that's even superior in some ways.Specs+ Overall length is 24 inches, flexible gooseneck portion is 17 inches.+ Daylight color tint -- "cool" light, not "warm" Probably 5,000 to 6,000 Kelvin+ Strong magnetic base+ Lamp head has a push-pull zoom that projects an adjustable but well-defined lighting circle -- minimal side spillage+ Two brightness levels. I learned that you don't have to fully click the switch to change brightness. It's enough to slightly press the switch to break contact then release. Full click is only necessary for power on/off.+ Stiff gooseneck stays when you bend it -- unaffected by gravity.Battery cap is a bit difficult to screw back on because of the spring and the fine threads but you'll get the hang of it. Since it's battery operated then you obviously can't leave it on indefinitely. But if you are handy with tools, you could wire this up with a 4.5 VDC battery eliminator. I did. If you use it intermittently then batteries are fine -- but I'd recommend Eneloop rechargeable batteries. The regular ones, not the "pro".If you plan to use the lamp with the base resting on a (non-magnetic) table, you'll need to make a small platform for the lamp to stick to. I made such a platform with a 4 x 5 x .5 inch scrap of wood on which I affixed a small steel plate at one end for the lamp to stick to. Perfect.Lamp feels solid and well-constructed. Push button feels solid. I bought two more on the strength of my impression with the first one.
