The detail roller (small one) doesn't roll when the roller brush is on. The normal roller does good, but the brush tends to slip off the roller.The plastic pan cracks easily, it lasted about 2 days.The roller brushes did not clean as well as the cheap ones you can get at a hardware store. The brushes in this kit are more fibrous or hairy, as compared to spongy or fuzzy.The threads in the handles of the rollers are a bit too large for extension handles, causing a bad flex at the threads which eventually causes your extension handle to fail. Do not put too much flex on the threads and it works fine.The hand brushes are really good, they hold a bit of water in the metal sheath (the bit that holds the bristles to the handle). So if you soak your brush, let it dry upright and upside down so all the water drains before use.Is it worth it? Low price for ok stuff. I will just go to the hardware store next time i need paint supplies, because the cheap stuff there works as good or better than this kit, although buying the same equipment as what this kit has would cost a bit more at the store.

I had a hurry-up-paint-that-driveway-before-rain-starts job, trying to put asphalt paint on a driveway that had footprints on it that showed where to enter on the side. They were under ivy that hid them, but an errant gardener removed them. My wife insisted I get busy and paint over those dumb footprints. Rattle-can spray failed. Wire brush failed. I ordered some asphalt paint and this terrific roller/brush and tray set, which arrived faster than the paint. I stirred the paint, poured it into the tray (lined in aluminum foil for ease of cleanup, and started rolling. The roller handle was easy to manage, and the wide roller made short work of the driveway entry "art", smoothly applying the paint evenly. I even was able to reach some touch-up spots by using a threaded push broom handle to attach the roller and extend my reach. The job is done, and will have plenty of drying time in the afternoon sun - rain will arrive in just 3 hours. I give high marks for a very complete application tray with rollers for making this must-do job so easy to accomplish. It is a first-rate set that I intend to keep for future painting projects. I purchased this set for a single use project. Is was worth the money to use and discard. However it didn’t work like that. I received this brush and roller set along with a gallon of stain. I didn’t notice until I was ready to paint that the plastic tray was cracked through in two places and would be unusable. The cracks were caused by the heavy gallon of stain packaged with the set. I pulled out an old metal paint tray and accomplished my task, but many people may not have a backup.I believe that this problem was caused by poor packing by Amazon, along with the lower quality product that I knew I was buying. My advice, check the tray as soon as it arrives for breakage. The brushes and rollers were low quality, but fine for my single use project.

Very simple to use. I purchased this kit as a first time painter and helped my girlfriend paint her living room. Got a good deal of progress done in a very short amount of time. I definitely recommend taping or screwing a broomstick to the roller frame for those high and hard to reach areas. Also, the paint bonds to the rollers really well. I barely got any paint on me since it doesn't leak alot off the rollers once you dip it in the paint pan. Highly recommend

The rollers suck. I put paint on and I get nothing on the wall, waste on money, the paint brushes seemed like plastic so we didn't even get to finish the room and we had to wait till the next day just to go to the store to go buy new stuff! Waste of money!

The tray and big roller worked very well. The small rollers didn't spin well so they weren't usable and the paint brushes are cheap so they were very streaky. It was worth the money I spent but I had to get a different paint brush for my project.

I bought this thinking it would be a good value. The brushes would be more useful as a bench or tool cleaning brush than a paint brush. The roller wasn't very effective. I had to go over the area again with a brush on my lightly textured wall.

The rollers are very good. But the brushes are awful. Just throw them away! They will give you plenty of trouble while painting. Stick to the rollers only.
