My favorite sunscreen
I love this sunscreen. I usually only use sunscreens that are recommended by the EWG (Environmental Working Group), as I've learned sunscreens can have some awful ingredients that you don't need (or want). I don't think Reef Safe is on their radar, but if it's approved to go snorkeling in environmentally sensitive areas, I'm sure it's ok.Anyway, it goes on really nicely, it's not thick or sticky. It doesn't dry out your skin or make it look weird and zinc-y, and, the label says you can be in the water for 80 minutes before re-applying. I wear it on a daily basis and I haven't gotten any sun on my easily tanned arms. I highly recommend this excellent sunscreen!

Worked great in Maui!
Not sure if it killed any ocean life, but it kept this pale Irish-American from getting sunburnt while snorkeling and diving in Maui! No unpleasant odors and didn't leave a nasty residue like some other brands. Don't be surprised by the small bottle. A little goes a long way and it lasted our family of four 7 days of beach time with a half a bottle to spare. More than the sun protection, I love the mission of this company to protect our oceans. I learned about this product from a interview on Scuba Radio podcast.

Best sunblock ever!
I am very impressed with this sunscreen! After 6 days in the tropics and being in the sun all day I do not have a sunburn. I had no base tan at all and only applied this sunscreen once every morning, even after spending a few hours in the water every morning . This is the best sunblock I have ever used ...seriously! great stuff!

Easier to apply than described; no odor; no sunburn!
I used this to go snorkeling (for the first time) in Bermuda. I applied about 1-2 hours before I actually went into the water (just because that's when I got dressed). Some descriptions of products like this indicate that it is can be hard to apply (that it gets crumbly). I had no problem. I wiped on smoothly. I did notice some crumbling once, but that was mostly on the hand I was using to apply it. I rinsed my hand and continued applying the lotion. After snorkeling, I applied a regular sunscreen and ended the day without any bad effects.I did not use on my face because I had not tried it and was a bit afraid of a reaction since I have a tendancy to break out.

Eco-Friendly Beach Staple
This was the first time I purchase an eco-friendly sunblock. I was hesitant since I pretty much live in the water while on vacation and was concerned about getting sunburned however this lotion gave both myself and my husband who is a bit more fair-skinned than myself great coverage our entire Hawaiian vacation. It's great to know that we are able to purchase such a great product and be environmentally responsible all the same time.We will absolutely purchase more for future trips!

NOT reef safe!!!!! NOT non-toxic to Sealife!!!!
Well, I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing this product. It is not reef safe as stated. I am leaving on a trip to an EcoPark in Mexico in three days and have just found out that this product will not be accepted at the park. Thanks for false advertising (in HUGE LETTERS). When purchasing "reef safe" sunscreen please make sure you find a list of ingredients first and check your facts. Maybe they consider this to be "more reef safe" than others but the bottom line is, I paid for a product that is now unusable for its blatantly stated purpose. Thanks Tropical Seas® on to the next review of another similar product I purchased from them.Actually, when you read their labeling carefully, the product is called "REEF SAFE by Tropical Seas." The bottle does not state that it is ACTUALLY Reef Safe, just that it is NON-Toxic to Sea Life. It would be like naming your bag of apples "Bananas by Apples Inc." It doesn't mean you are buying Banana's, it's just what I am calling my bag of apples. But I digress.....I just looked on NOAA website and it states "Coral, a sessile animal" which to me would fall under the category of SEA LIFE. So, I will pay more attention to advertising and warn everyone on trip advisor and other sites to not purchase anything from this company due to their false advertising.

still the best sunscreen out there
still the best sunscreen out there! so happy I round it again, I really wish they would sell it in stores! Unlike most sunscreens it's basically not sticky and absorbs so quickly! It's biodegradable, good for the oceans and animals, the planet aaand for you.. I use it on my face daily and it's just amazing. Please give it a try, spread the word and start producing and selling world wide.. the oceans are f*ed up enough as it is so why not use something that doesn't harm them and still protects us?! :)

Did the job,
Used this in Mexico beaches, I was concerned that the bottle would not last us, but a little goes a long way. I have a tendency to not need sunblock but in Mexico I have a history of getting sunburned, so I was worried that because it's biodegradable it would not hold up. I was pleasantly surprised, One of my girls is really pale and she had no issues either, I would recommend this product.
