Marcini Bamboo Fiber Cotton Throw Blanket - Yellow

I have had this throw for a couple months now. I had been looking for a burgundy throw for over a year to replace my chenille throw that eventually fell apart. For a long time I tried to find a chenille throw of comparable quality to what I had because I really like the feel and look of them. But everything I found was either too flimsy and cheap or had a large weave that snagged easily (and I have dogs). I am so glad I ended up ordering this. It is definitely worth the money. It is medium weight and incredibly soft. It does not have the shine of chenille but still looks luxurious. I haven't yet had to wash this but I don't intend to abide by the dry clean only directions. Being a bamboo/rayon and cotton combination, I can't imagine that it wouldn't hold up in the wash on delicate. I'll write an update once I wash it.I highly recommend this throw! In fact, I came out here to Amazon today to buy another one.Update: I have washed this several times now and it hasn't changed!

In furnishing a new beach home I have been looking for light throws (not bulky) which I could use in my living room. I purchased two different ones from a discount store - and paid about $40 each. The first one pilled and shed and made a mess everywhere. The second one also pilled, and when it was washed it fell apart. Being an avid Amazon consumer I decided to look for one on their website. I purchased the beige one first (hesitant to purchase multiple and find out they were not good quality).It arrived in record time, opened the package. There was no "new blanket" odor. It was soft from the start, cozy and just perfect. After fighting with my daughter on who would use it, I got a second one in burgundy. Same quality, lovely color and really nice!They are great throws and I would rate them as an excellent purchase! You will enjoy them!

Update (5 stars):So I was looking over my old product reviews and came across this one and just had to update it. I was wrong with my original 3 star review. This is a fantastic blanket. It has sat on our couch now for more than 3 years and still looks brand new. It also looks like the price has come down a little since I bought it so that is a plus. Anyway, knowing what I know now I would definitely recommend this.Original (3 stars):$50 is a bit pricey for what it is and I wouldn't buy it again as a result. A lightweight blanket made from mostly bamboo rayon. It is of decent quality but I will be surprised if it lasts more then a year of daily couch use. If it was about $30 then I would give it 5 stars and buy a couple more.

This is one of the softest blankets I've ever owned. It feels silky and quite luxurious. Another aspect that I love is the color. I wanted something yellow that was on the bright side without it being garish and had a hard time finding such a thing. This does the job perfectly. Beautiful color. The size is pretty standard for a throw.So far, mine has not shed at all but it's on a leather chair. I'm waiting for a suede chair to be delivered and that will be the true test. I will update the review if it starts shedding but so far, so good!

I wanted a throw that would NOT act as a magnet for dog hair. It is perfect for that. Even after the dog jumped on the couch and was leaning against it (this in spite of being forbidden to get on furniture), I was able to give it a couple shakes and get rid of the hair. This is lab hair which sticks to everything. The throw is light to medium weight, perfect for Florida winters. I also wanted cotton and washable. After I wash this throw I may upgrade to 5 stars. It is supposed to be dry cleaned, however another reviewer said it was washable on delicate. I plan on doing that and hang drying.

My mother is very ill and came to stay with us, with the weather becoming colder I wanted to have some warm throws around that would nice looking. These came quickly, which I needed, and they were rich in colour, the perfect weight and size! My mother loves hers and there was no smell because of this being a bamboo product, which we love! The only issues I have at all are that I didn't read that these have to be dry cleaned, my mistake and that they quickly begin to lose their beautiful sheen and become a dull looking throw, still rich in colour but not the original look which is somewhat disappointing.

While this throw comes with a label that says "dry clean only", I saw that other reviewers had successfully laundered theirs. Since it had very deep wrinkles upon arrival, I gave it a shot and washed it on the gentle cycle with cold water and dried it on the lowest setting. It came out very soft and wrinkle free -- it's kind of stiff before it's washed. Personally, I have it on the end of a sofa and have never used it yet to provide actual warmth, but I'm certain that it would be adequate. I thought the color was representative of what was on the website.

I consider this to be more of a "comfort blanket". Probably best for those that just want something on top of them, but are not trying to stay warm. It is pretty thin but very soft. It sheds a little but the fuzz really seems to only stick on certain types of fabric. I have noticed little red balls on a bunch of my work shirts, and on a decorative pillow we keep on the couch. The couch itself doesn't have any fuzzes on it. It is hit or miss.
