Almost perfect keyboard
Hello,This keyboard's unique 99 keys layout perfectly fitted my keyboard shelf and let me comfortably use my mouse. The 104-key one I used would not let me do this, as it was a few inches longer and made me use the mouse near the edge of the shelf and it was hard to center the keyboard on the shelf. The Leopold keyboard's "silent Cherry MX keys" felt perfect. I liked its tactile springy feel, and, most important, the keys were quiet. Except for the space bar, which was undamped and noisy. I tried some YouTube suggestions to fix the space bar issue, but nothing worked.I had to return the keyboard because of this very serious (to me) issue. Too bad, because I cannot find another keyboard, with silent Cherry keys and a 99-key layout. You have to use such a layout to appreciate how much space it saves over a regular 104 keyboard, plus you have the convenience of a regular number pad.I did find a "tenkeyless" keyboard with silent Cherry switches to replace my old membrane 104 keyboard. While the "tenkeyless" keyboad did save space and let me comfortably use a mouse, it didn't have a regular number pad. This Leopold keyboard was close to perfect, but close is not enough. Thanks for reading.MTM

One of the better keyboards
I'm somewhat of a keyboard enthusiast, just shy of building my own since that doesn't really interest me. This is honestly one of the better built keyboards out there, PBT doubleshot is very good quality. Doesn't get that weird glossy/shine that looks and feels awful. Dip switch for switching keys around, which I prefer the mac style layout since it's more optimal. Full keyboard size in TKL width. Then a selection of switches to choose from. For the price it's pretty solid.

My favorite keyboard
FYI I purchased the Leopold FC980M PD MX brown mechanical keyboard from mechanicalkeyboards.com about 6 months ago. But leaving a review on here as I noticed there are none at the moment for such an amazing keyboard. The build quality is great, I have a das keyboard and I definitely prefer this keyboard over the das. I use these keyboards for typing/policy writing and not for gaming purposes, it is at my office so it's used 5-6 days a week for at least 8 hours...my coworkers have complimented the sound and it isn't loud or anything...it just sounds very nice. I would definitely buy another leopold keyboard and currently searching for one for my home office.

Cheap junk.
Completely dead after less than a year of light use. Nothing has ever been spiller on it either, it just randomly died. Very short life span for a keyboard that costs over $100. Don't let the price fool you, these keyboards are garbage.
