This item worked great for a while but the network kept disappearing so I had to keep installing the device. When it worked it worked well but not something i need to set up a couple times a week. Aside from the typos in the manual, and the fact that this unit looks identical to a number of other wifi extenders on amazon (meaning its the same product just white labeled to different franchisers) is that a week ago, Amazon told me I was not allowed to write a review for this product because of too many skeptical reviews already existing (700+ reviews and they are ALL 5 stars?). HMMMMM. I gave up on this product - I returned this and purchased a TP-LINK extender.

I've been working with computers since DOS 2.0 & I build my own custom computers. Likewise I've been working with WiFi since it was introduced. My point being, I'm not a novas. Set up was very easy & when I got it where I wanted it, the signal strength was excellent. My problem was, for reasons I still don't understand, I would loose my connection to the internet. The signal from my router would still be excellent when this happened. I redid the setup several times using different settings but that didn't fix it. Sometimes unplugging it & plugging it back in worked but never for very long. Sometimes the connection would be fine for as long as 5 hours then it would just lose it for no reason. I've replaced it with a different (more expensive) extender & the new one works great from day one. I did some research online & found other people have had the same problem with this extender though it works fine for most people.

The unit was easy to set up and worked fine for about 5 months. During the last month it fails more and more frequently. Not it stops functioning every few hours. While the signal is visible on devices it doesn't actually work to connect to anything. Unplugging and plugging back in resolves the issue for a few hours. Initially it just needed to be restarted once every few weeks, not its every few hours, which makes the unit worthless. I have not read anyone else having the same problem, so it might be just my unit. Will be looking to purchase a different unit.

Just received my unit and am very underwhelmed, not sure if the one I received is defective. Breakdown of the good/bad:Simple set up, took 2 minutesSignal is strong throughout bottom floor of my homeThroughput speeds are horrible, I have a 500/20 connection through my ISP and with the extender I'm pulling roughly 40-50/20 if I stand next to itIf I walk 10 feet away throughput drops to 10/5If I walk ~15 feet away with one wall it is pretty much unusable - same speeds as a DSL connectionSpeeds are the same between 2.4G and 5G

We bought this in March 2019 to extend our WiFi for the home security cameras. I'm not sure how much good it really did, but we didn't really have any problems at first. Then in June we started having connectivity issues with all of our devices. The internet kept dropping signal and disconnecting the TVs, phones, computers, etc. I unplugged this WiFi-extender and we haven't had any problems since. Would not recommend.

I bought this for my mom who lives in assisted living. The WiFi signal in the building isn’t so great, but this simple device really boosted the signal such that signal strength is no longer an issue.Installation consisted of plugging the device into the wall, selecting the network and creating a password ... so easy that even a technologically challenged person like me can do it!

This WiFi extender works great. Easy to set up (just follow instructions carefully). We have a TV outside we hooked up with a Firestick and needed WiFi. We purchased the extender for that purpose. After we hooked it up all of our devises worked much better. In a year we have only had to reset it once, which is easy to do

I do not recommend this product. I've had problems since the beginning and now I can't return it because it's past my 30 day window. I have it in a proximity where it should pick up a strong signal and it only gives out a weak signal at best and is constantly dropping in and out. The worst part is that I get a stronger signal from my router in far away areas that this is supposed to extend to. Junk, do not buy!
