Great blade, minut flaw, ultimately, vary satisfied!
The Besseggen has become my favorite go to knife in my collection. I take it everywhere. It is a great knife like all Helle knives. The other Helle knives I have in my collection are a little bigger. The only problem was, when I took it out for the first time and layd eyes on it. I seen some cosmetic flaws such as glue on the top of handle, not a big deal. But, when you pay $100+ on quality you want it to arrive unflawed. Again, not a big deal since im using this as an every day blade. But that my friends is the only reason I deducted a star. If not for the small glue seepage, This is my favorite go to blade. It is very practical for my lifestyle.

Short little perfection...
This is a shorter knife from Helle, but it doesn't deliver any less. It is absolutely a gorgeous little knife. As others have stated, it just feels good. You want this in your hand. You want to use it. Ergonomically, it fits like a glove. Balanced. Perfect for maneuvering and doing all you ask of it. As is customary from Helle, the quality, craftsmanship, look, feel, etc., are all second to none. Built to last, built to hand down to your grandkids' grandkids' grandkids. Highly recommended.

Excellent Quality
The workmanship is flawless on this little beauty. Excellent grind and sharp as a razor. The handle is a beautiful curly birch and is finished nicely. Definitely a go to knife for all kinds of chores or to keep in a collection. The Helle team seems to understand what quality means.

The blade was scalpel sharp, the curly maple beautiful. One could say the handle could have had a bit more girth but then again, the handle might fit more hands than not. Overall, the important part of a knife is the blade and the intended use of the blade. This knife fits the bill.

Besseggen Knife
The blade holds an edge very well, but there were visible grinding marks. The handle needs to be a bit thicker for the best grip. Also, the finish on the handle was "blobby" and not well rubbed out. The knife is undoubtedly "honest" and will give good service, but the grind marks on the blade and the rough finish on the handle are quality lapses I did not expect.

I love helle knives.
After having visited the factory in gailo Norway I can't stop buying them. Nicely weighted, great design, holds a sharp edge and has good rust resistance. The sheaths are also well made. Quality leather.
