Daniel Dakota 71.63" Grandfather Clock

Base was scratched. We had to drill holes to hang chains and weights. Packaging sucked. Washers and screws were loose i in box. Top door hinges had to be realigned because door was crooked. Also top door would not latch shut. Not really thrilled with this purchase for a 50th wedding anniversary present for my parents.

ok, lets start by saying, a grandfather clock with free shipping for under $350?!? what kind of garbage is this going to be... it's a nice little clock. It is what it is. don't expect deep rich chimes, heavy brass interior works, working sundial, etc, just so you know. the one we got was blonde really light wood. it arrived fed ex super fast like Prime shipping, it was quick to put together. Don't forget you'll need batteries. My husband likes it so i'm thrilled!

The clock is attractive and easily assembled. The oak veneer is similar to "Saunders" style office furniture, and is without embellishment, but this can be forgiven due to the low cost. The sound of the chimes is beautiful.

Clock looks nice but is cheaply made. The hinges were bent causing the door not to close properly. The chain was not long enough to hook to pendulum as shown in picture. The chimes are cheap sounding. My recommendation is to put the money spent on this and save for a quality clock.

disappointed in product, waste of money, seller didn't work with me to get problem resolved, will not buy from this seller again.

Purchased this as a gift for my sister and her husband who are becoming amateur clock collecters. They seem to really like it. One thing they noted is that you have to 'set' the clock a certain way for the tones to sound at the correct times.
