Fantastic little pump that is more powerful than you'd guess for its size
While the pump is not 'dead silent' in my application (as some reviewers say), it awfully quiet, and is a great little pump. I have mine in a 40g Sterilite tub I use as a sump on a 60g acrylic freshwater tank. The pump's hose runs out the tub and returns to the tank via a 45-degree PVC elbow that slips tightly into one of the 3/4" holes drilled into the top of the tank. I mention that because the PVC might be conducting some sound that would be absent if it were a soft hose at the return vs a PVC fitting. But if I turn all other equipment off, and just have the Sicce running, and press my ear against the tank (to hear what the fish hear), I get a low hum. However it's so quiet the bubbling of the return at the surface is equally loud and so it's not an annoying hum like previous pumps I've owned. (Just standing at the sump I can also hear a very low hum, but it's extremely quiet, especially for such a powerful little pump.) Pros: the pump is very small, does not generate heat, and has an efficient motor. In my case the head is about 4' but the distance to the return (horizontally) is another 5'. I have a 1.5" bulkhead (drilled tank), draining down 1.5" PVC into the tub and the pump keeps up perfectly with the overflow. A stronger pump would have needed to be dialed back. I couldn't have picked a better one for this application. Surface sits about 5/8ths inch from top of tank. I've used Dolphin pumps in the past which lasted some 17 years in constant operation, but when the last one died, I found this Sicce as I wanted a quieter pump. It has them beat for sure. I'd buy it again in a second. In fact I'd never buy any other kind of pump. It's been in operation now about a year and I can't remember now, but I think it's also self-cleaning. IAC I have never opened it, and it's working as effortless and perfectly as the day I got it. The Dolphin had a foam prefilter that needed cleaning every 6mo or so, even though it was in a very clean sump. If you need a great pump, this is the one. I've been keeping fish for 27 years and Sicce will be my go-to pump from now on, assuming it stands the test of time.

Quiet.
As described, itโs powerful and quiet. My only complaint is that it doesnโt have a 1/2 inch connector, itโs comes with a 3/4. Iโll live. Not taking away a star because I didnโt read, and am mildly inconvenienced. Great product!

Very happy.
Great item. Not too big, able to pump a lot of water despite its smaller size. Used this as an upgrade to all my 32 gallon tank. Its very quiet and seems to keep junk from collecting at its base as some pumps have trouble with.

Great little pump
Pump is very quiet and does just what I need. The connector was a different size than my previous pump so I got it working and it is perfect.

Quite, compact, powerful. Perfect return pump for aquarium sump.
This pump works as advertised. I am using this as a submersible pump within the 29 gallon sump of my 75 gallon reef aquarium. The pump is very quiet within the sump and behind the doors of my aquarium stand. I am using the provided suction cup legs placed directly on the bottom of the sump. I attached 3/4" I.D. flexible vinyl tubing to the outlet. The pump comes with an inlet attachment to allow mounting externally, however the pump casing is relatively light as compared to pumps that are built specifically for external use.

Dead silent return pump!
I bought this after growing tired of hearing the hum of my Eheim 1260, an otherwise terrific pump. With my tank in my family room, I need it to be as quiet as possible, and all reviews pointed to the Syncra 2.0 being the best option. There are a number of features that make me love this pump: 1. As I said, this pump is DEAD silent. I have to physically put my hand on the pump/spaflex to make sure it's even on. It also helps that the pump comes with suction cup feet that raise it an inch or so off the ground 2. The footprint is very small. If you're going from something like a Mag or Eheim, you're going to scratch your head at how a pump as small as this could generate a similar rate of flow. The same can be said about the Syncra 3.0, which flows more than the Eheim 1260 3. If you don't have a ball valve on your return line, you can adjust the flow rate by turning the disc at the front of the pump I wish I had purchased this pump the first time around, and will now go out of my way to recommend this one to friends who have tanks.

Started out good ended in failure
Started out good, was silent during operation and kept great water flow In our 75g AIO tank. 2 months later and it has now shorted out. Have not needed to move it or adjust, was feeding the fish today, and felt an electrical shock, It was the pump shorting out. Now I can refine and itโs a waste of money. DO NOT BUY
