Focused on the field of knowledge lying between digital and analog circuit theory, this new text will help engineers working with digital systems shorten their product development cycles and help fix their latest design problems. KEY TOPICS: The scope of the material covered includes signal reflection, crosstalk, and noise problems which occur in high speed digital machines (above 10 megahertz). MARKET: This volume will be of practical use to digital logic designers, staff and senior communications scientists, and all those interested in digital design. Review: Best begineer text book for introduction to high speed designer - Possibly the most recommended and talked about text on high speed digital design ever written . Helped me consolidate theory I learnt in my MEng EEE and apply to real designs in work. Review: Five Stars - Brilliant book

Excellent reference book and designer's checklist
This book is simply excellent. I never really got to grips with analogue design or electromagnetic theory, but an understanding of these is becoming critical in high-speed digital design. This book was a God-send to me. It explains everything you need to know, in simple terms (including the equations when appropriate) and includes checklists and solutions for a designer to refer against. Termination, effects of vias, routing, power and ground planes, measurement techniques, noise pickup, e-m radiation etc. etc. are all covered. If you are in any way involved in design, layout or analysis of digital designs which operate at 20+ MHz, then this book will become your standard reference. Having got it, I don't know how I survived without it.

A reference book worth keeping and learning from; repeatedly
I use this as a reference work for electronic hardware design. It is a wonderful source of material additional to the usual textbook-like presentations. Not cheap, but technical books aren't. I'm glad I added it to my resource library and recommend it to those who will find value in it.
