Long reach bits,

I bought this set of auger bits primarily to drill a series of holes in fence posts. Out of the box they did the job but clogged very quickly and didn’t really bite into the wood like I expected. On closer inspection, the cutting edge wasn’t as sharp and defined as other brands I’ve used but for the price of these, I can’t really complain.The wooden box they came in didn’t hold the bits in place during transport and seemed a bit gimmicky so I threw it away. However, I have alternative storage solutions better suited to my needs. Others may find it useful.

Excellent set of auger bits for the DIYer. Goes through studs like a hot knife through butter - much better than a spade bit. Got to take care, as when the 'screw' end bites, it can really take off. Have already came in handy several times - all of the sizes the average DIYer would need.

Surprisingly good auger bits for the money, used them with a cordless drill when fitting some door locks during the daytime and in the evening I swapped out the cordless drill with an old fashioned shoulder brace drill and finished fitting the last couple of locks, neighbours didn't even know I was doing any drilling during the day because these bits really do bite into the wood and cut it unlike noisy spade pattern drill bits, highly recommend these for DIY or light professional use, the fact they are in a wood case means little to the average bodger but to me it hints at possible quality.
