I was pretty devastated when Amazon discontinued my former favorite brand of Hungarian paprika paste. I had originally bought it in Hungary, so naturally, the only place I could find it in the US was on Amazon. But I can’t even get it here anymore! :( so I decided to try the red gold piros arany, purely because, no joke, they looked similar aesthetically. I did not have high hopes, as I have used the same paprika paste for 8 years, and anytime I have tried to go local and use something else, I hated it. This paste tastes strikingly similar to my old brand. It’s not a dead ringer, but the flavor profiles are similar enough that I can use it in all the same dishes and get more or less the same effect. It will be a good enough substitute until I can get back to Hungary and stock up on my main squeeze!

This is an excellent paprika when you want to add a little spice to a dish. It's delicious in soups and on vegetables (especially when air frying veggies.) This paprika is a must for every kitchen.

As a Hungarian I love paprika, especially the spicy varieties. This is straight from Hungary.

We made one of our faves, chicken paprikash. It was the first time with this paprika, referred to me by a lovely straight from Hungary friend. Let me tell you, it brought my chicken to a whole new level. So delish, but don't add any salt to your dish. This paste had everything in it to season and flavor perfectly
