Fits into tool holster easily yet is versatile to fit several screw sizes and styles.
I bought the version similar in design to a "lineman's" pliers and found them exactly as advertised; versatile, well-made and durable. I did find them a bit cumbersome to fit into my tool holster. These slip-joint style pliers adjust to get a better grip on larger screw sizes, yet are smaller and fit more easily into my holster.

Japanese made. Well made, high quality, and versatile.
I own other Engineer Screw Pliers, and this one is as well made & versatile as the others. It tackles larger screw, and bolt heads with a firmer grip to match. These are very well made, high quality tools. I've noted others complaining about the Screw Pliers not lasting, but I have an answer to this: they do not know how to size, and use their tools properly. For example, this plier will handle fastener sizes M1.7 -M8. If you grip the fastener head SQUARELY, and FIRMLY while turning the fastener to remove it without, allowing the teeth to slip, you will not have a problem with the gripping teeth wearing out, and flattening. I highly recommend this plier, and all other Engineer Screw Pliers, as well as other Engineer tools. By-the-way, VamPliers are the USA marketed versions of the Japanese made Engineer NejiSaurus Screw Pliers. Same tool, different name & color handles.

Must have
I should have bought this sooner. This is a must have tool. This immediately became one of my most used tools. It makes removing stripped screws so easy and fast that it pays for itself very quickly in saved time. The teeth are durable and sharp. The overall fit and finish is perfect. The tool is a pleasure to use because of its functionality. These belong in every tool box.

Engineer is high quality
I only gave 4 stars because for the price, they could have figured out how to incorporate an adjustable flush-fit fastener, like Wilde uses in the US. Other than that, I like these pliers very much. Everything lines up perfectly and is finished very well. The steel seems to be high-quality and hardened correctly. The satin chrome finish is also very good. The handles feel good in my hand and will probably stay intact for a long time. They grip screw heads as good as advertised as long as they're in the corrosponding size range. They are a little expensive, that's why I believe they could have been equipped with a better, flush-fit style, adjustable fastener. But I'm very happy with the purchase. Had to order these twice, as it never arrived the first time. Tracked it almost to me, but it was then returned to the sender and they issued a refund. I've had 3 orders in the Las two months do the exact same thing. But in the end, I finally got a pair.

They grab the fastener well
This is made by the Japanese company named Engineer. Well made and grabs a screw head very well. They are also not very big which is what I wanted.

It works.
I stripped a tiny torx screw years back. Drilling into it to brute force it was not an option, as it would ruin the thing itself - not important. I bought these because the listed specs stated they could work on 3mm screw heads. Initially, when I first tried using these, the teeth kept slipping off the tiny, low profile, head. I was worried, but I soldiered on and found that I need to physically shove down harder and grip the absolute life out of the screw head. With some real effort, I managed to turn the screw a little and from that point it was easy. Overall, it's good for gripping screws, as it is titled.
