Does your product contain any significant amount of monacolin k; the compound identical to lovastatin, a hmg-coa inhibitor, or is it u.s. version?

I have been taking this for 15 years and when I first took it my cholesterol went from 262 to under 200 and has been there up until May 2019 when it suddenly spiked to 238. Today, a year later, I got my annual bloodwork back and cholesterol was even higher - over 240. I have been taking as directed for 15 years and now my cholesterol has spiked up 20% for over the past 2 annual readings. My HDL is the same but LDL spiked up through the roof. I immediately looked at the bottle and just noticed that they removed the “prescription quality” banner from the front of the label and that now there is no mention of monocolins anywhere on the nutritional label or the bottle. I called the company about this this morning and they put me on hold for a few minutes and then said that they cannot give me an answer and that someone will have to call me back about it. It is now 6pm in the evening and I still have not received a call back. Makes me think something has changed with the monocolin ingredient.

The label on my new bottle of red yeast rice does not state 'Prescription Strength'as my previous bottles. Why the change?

Is this product citrinin free?

There isn't anything on the bottle that has the citrinin word. The bottle says gluten free, vegetarian, free from artificial colors and preservatives. free from wheat. corn, soy and milk. I looked a little on the Internet and seen that some Red Yeast Rice products have citrinin but the brands I seen listed were not Nature's Plus. Sorry I couldn't help more.

Does the label on your bottle say 1.7% (10.2 mg) total monacolins on the front or on the back under "Supplement Facts"?

Yes it clearly states 1.7% monacolins extract on the front label and in the supplement facts.
