This is used to tie the Utah Killer Bug Fly Fishing Pattern which is an amazing Sow Bug, Scud, Shrimp imitation that works great on Western waters. This yarn is similar to the Sawyer Killer bug tied with Chadwicks 477. This auction is for 25 feet of material, not the whole ball. This fly tying material can be substituted for dubbing on multiple patterns. Just tie in toward the eye of the hook, wrap to the bend, twist yarn to form a consistent wrap, wrap to the eye of the hook and tie off. You can also add a hot spot or bead to give variations to the pattern. This amount will typically tie between 150-200 flies depending on size

Not what I expected. Be warned.
Not what I expected. I thought it was the whole ball of yarn. It's only a small amount of cut from main and taped to a piece of paper. Not worth the price for it. Too much trouble to send it back.

Misleading Product Picture / Listing
I shouldn’t have to read reviews on a ball of yarn, especially when there is a picture of the whole ball. I expect to get exactly what is in the picture. Lame

Not what I expected, buyer beware
The one time I don't read the review...the small section of yarn was taped to a piece of paper. You could buy a whole ball of it for close to the same price.

item is not the entire roll of yarn!
***READ THE REVIEWS FIRST!!!!!!***picture/ description and price are very misleading. instead of a entire roll (which costs about the same) you get a pathetic clump that is taped to a sheet of lined paper.what a major rip off.

Deceiving
We didn't read the reviews either and were disappointed to receive some yarn taped to a piece of loose leaf paper. It's our fault for not reading the description either. The whole skein of yarn should not be shown as the item. Ordered a whole skein for almost the same price from another company. This seller should be banned from selling such a small amount of yarn for the price charged.

Got what I wanted.
The picture I took to mean the genuine article was being offered. There is obviously much more than 25 feet of yarn in the picture. It is a unique yarn for a special scud pattern that is not generally available in fly shops. Be glad it is available on Amazon. If you want more yarn of this type that you will never use, then look for it in the yarn shops on line where it is sold to knit sweaters and such.

Item was as expected
Obviously, the two previous reviewers did not read the title or description for this yarn. It plainly states in both areas that it is for 25 FT. The yarn is exactly what I wanted and I am happy with it
