Great Product - Easy Installation
Great Product - Easy Installation! I am a veteran player and have always brought my guitars to an experienced luthier to have work done. I purchased a used Mexican made Strat and had at it. The installation was easy as removing the pick guard screws and replacing it with the ready to Duncan Liberator. The guitar sounds fantastic and is now my go to guitar most of the time.

Replacement pickguard for my Strat.
You can’t beat Seymour Duncan pickups but these are a little to hot for me that is why I gave a 3 star rating.in place of these I purchased a Seymour Duncan wired HSH pick guard, I prefer the sound.

Whichever guitar you put this in instantly becomes your favorite.
So impressed with the sound of this. It really fattened up my American Standard, which is just what it needed. Excellent response and thick tone while still keeping the Strat sound.

No soldering...yay...tone of middle and neck pickup not my taste...boo
Fitted my mex strat and strat plus...big fan of the no solder wiring...wiring diagram supplied...liked the bridge pickup sound but replaced middle and neck to hot gold and gold LACE sensors...used the other rails as bridge pickups with my lace setup as well for the other guitars I was doing up...I ordered lace prewired pick guards as well and they had foam as apposed to the cardboard pick guard packaging support, foam being a better idea as the SD pick guard was unsecure and had little screw driver rattling around but lucky no damage...I would recommend just getting the pickguard unloaded so you can put what you want in them...great rock to heavy rock bridge pick up though...works well with the lace middle pick up I swapped out...

Great Sounding Combination
I think the pickups sound terrific. They approach the Gibson Les Paul sound in the 1 and 5 pick up switch positions without going too far, which is exactly what I wanted. You can still tell it is a strat, especially when you use the 2 and 4 positions on pickup switch. The install went well although I needed to shave some of the pick guard at the neck pocket, which may have been related more to the very poor quality control at Fender guitar from Corona, CA rather than the pick guard itself. The seller was very prompt in shipping and answered a couple of questions I had quickly via email so was really easy to deal with.

Great upgrade!
Wow, what a difference from the thin, twangy Strat sound. Play these babies through a Marshall and the difference between 8 and 10 on the volume pot is incredible. Beast mode on 10!

I would recommend pairing with a bright sounding overdrive or EQ pedal ...
Word of caution, if you are buying to upgrade a Squire Strat it may not fit requiring you to do some routing work to the body. The tone pots were just slightly too large to fit in my Squire. Other than that you can expect does what it says on the tin. The tone can be quite dark and woofy on the lower strings, I would recommend pairing with a bright sounding overdrive or EQ pedal especially if you are using a dark sounding amp. Aside from having to get the body altered, installation was painless and about as simple as you could hope for. It is an expensive way of doing things compared to buying the pickups separately, if you have the knowledge to change the pickups yourself and you're not fussed about upgrading your other electronics I would do that. As I'm useless with soldering and wanted replacing everything, this option worked well for me, just watch out that your control cavity is deep enough before ordering.
