Chocolat Madagascar - 80% Cocoa - Single Origin Fine Dark Milk Chocolate Bar 85g

As someone who has high blood sugar, I am always on the lookout for delicious dark chocolate that I can eat and this bar certainly didn't disappoint. It arrived very promptly and was attractively wrapped and tasted absolutely delicious and not bitter as some dark choclate does. I would recommend buying it

Intrigued by the idea of a milk chocolate with a high cocoa content I tried a bar. The adjectives that came first to mind for describing the flavour were "muddy", "blurred", "muffled", depending on whether you prefer your chocolate metaphors to be earthy, visual or acoustic. The strength of the cocoa was present, as was a lot of the flavour, but the complexity seemed to be missing. The composition and texture I found to be good; not cloying nor crumbly. By the time I finished the bar I felt it would be a good specimen in chocolate class that was teaching how different processing techniques change the flavour, but it wasn't something I'd want to have after supper.
