I Love These Shoes, but the tongue came out, worthless
(Edited the 26th of October): Worn not even once. After I threw away the receipt, and it's been 3 weeks since I bought them. I've only wore them for a very short time around the house, to make sure they fit. I was putting on my shoes, and suddenly, the tongue ripped out, after wearing them for not even an hour, and not even 5 minutes.I was in a rush, so I wore them, with the tongue loose, for a Halloween costume. These are crud. They are worthless junk.(written 3 days, after having them): I love saddle oxfords, long story....dates way back to not being able to wear them due to having a too narrow of foot. I'm an adult now, and I am constantly looking for saddle shoes. That bought me to Amazon, and a simple search. I had no idea that Bass made these, and they came in grey, not the general black and white. For the price, they are great, classic shoes. They were shipped super fast, and free.I looked on Bass's website, and they are double this price. I don't normally like a more pointed toe, and these aren't as round as I prefer, but they aren't tennis shoes, either, I forgive them. They look great with my jeans, slacks, leggings, and even some skirts. I found them to be a tad narrow, but I plan on wearing thin socks, so it's okay. The length is perfect, size 7. For the price, I'm not complaining. They have a pretty decent arch support on the inside, with a cushioned heel. I wear inserts, but won't with these shoes. There is decorative stitching on the grey leather. Bass put in all the details.I'm wearing them often, to see how they hold up. I will update this if there's any troubles. The thing that bugs me the most, is, if I scuff them, I'll be mad at myself. Also, the strings....basic Bass, needs to be double knotted to stay tied. For some reason, these are hard to find locally, and I live in a large city. Oh well...when you can't find something locally you turn to the internet. I absolutely love the shoes, and when I wear these out, I know where to get more, at a reasonable price.

They came with the shoelaces in a ridiculous configuration that I guess is supposed to look cool, but is impractical to use
These shoes fit very snugly. They came with the shoelaces in a ridiculous configuration that I guess is supposed to look cool, but is impractical to use. I had to take the shoelaces out and redo them in a sensible way. I have a very high instep and these shoes lack room for that. Worst of all, I have worn these shoes once and when I took them off the grey leather under the shoelaces was worn off! That should not happen after one wearing (if at all). The shoes look good initially and didn't cost that much, but I cannot give a good recommendation.

LOVE THESE
I can't believe how cute these Bass saddle shoes are! I wasn't sure about the white and grey color combo, but if anything these work better aesthetically than my previous B&W ones, which can look too contrast-y when they're brand new. These are such a great price I may stockpile another pair, but if they're made like my previous Bass saddles, it'll be another 20 yrs. before I need a replacement. In 20 yrs. I'll be REALLY old--will I even need shoes by then???

I usually wear an 8.5 but they were way too big, so i tried the next size down and my heels were still slipping out of the back. the bottoms are very cheap and after 1 day's wear showed significant signs of wear. I would not reccomend especially to anyone. try a different oxford.

Runs large.
After reading numerous reviews for fit expectations, I settled on my usual size. However, the color I wanted was out of stock in regular width, so I got the wide version. I honestly cannot tell the difference in width, they fit fine in that regard. If you truly need a wide shoe then you may want to reconsider. The 8.5 certainly runs much larger than expected. I could easily go down to an 8. Keep that in mind when choosing you size, or try them on in a store first.

I am quite shocked by this because all other experiences I have with Bass have been quite good. I highly recommend them as a bra
I am a BIG fan of Bass shoes. I've owned may pairs. The one disappointing things about these is that the gray finish on these seems to be defective. I peels in places; even after the fist wear. I am quite shocked by this because all other experiences I have with Bass have been quite good. I highly recommend them as a brand but maybe just not this color. For reference I have 5+ other Bass Enfileld Oxfords all in other colors and they have never done this.

I love them! The only reason for the 4 stars is the leather started to peal from around the lace holes pretty quickly, a little disappointing, but that has not stopped me from wearing them! I get a ton of compliments on them every time I wear them.

Not the Best Quality
I was extremely happy when I found a pair of Oxfords in the color and style that I wanted but was quickly disappointed when after wearing them one time, the material started falling apart. I continue to wear them as the damage is usually covered by my pant leg, but I would not buy again.

Little pricey not everyday wear.
Great shoe loads of compliments. Comfortable, easy break in time. Mine have come apart left shoe, inside toe box area. ...Wish they would wear longer.

Poor quality and sizing.
Not what I expected from a Bass product. The shoes were definitely off in size. The material was very cheap.

Saddle up!
Bass is a really great brand! Very comfortable, the size runs true, and the selection is good. I'd buy every color available in the saddle shoe.

DO NOT buy these shoes! I got these shoes just before this past Christmas. I wore them for only a few days before the darker colored material in the center, the saddle portion,...
