Could be nice, if it worked consistently
It's a comprehensive test unit.Biggest problem is constant Error 7 and little guidance on how to resolve. Once you get error 7, you must power off and start over. I found a long Q-tip to clean the reader portion of unit will fix it...but it's annoying.Update, 4 months later. I continually get Error 7 and nothing works to resolve it. It's not unusable. Will try tech support again, but so far have never talked to anyone. Looking for another more reliable product...this was $260 for very little use.

I hate testing my pool
I'm color blind, even the taylor kit was hard for me, I hate testing my pool! Now I can test my pool and get great results !! I have tested my pool many times in the last week, and even test many samples of the same water to see if I would get the same results, so far I have, from 0.05 to 0.1 of the other tests!!So far i'm very happy with it, I only wish the FC and TCL test had a higher range, why? becuase unless your CYA is 30-40 or less the test stops at 10ppm, you can dilute but its not as accurate becuase there is is 2.5 line so you have to guess.

Unreliable, lasted one year.
The first year this thing seemed to work fine, and it's actually pretty convenient while it was working. Now one year later when I started my pool up again I ran into the dreaded "Err 7" which has been reported by others. I made a call to customer support and was advised to clean the lens inside the unit, or I could ship it back to them and for $50 they would try to fix it for me. No guarantees of success. Ridiculous for such an expensive little unit.I did manage to get the "Err 7" to go away after cleaning the inside of the unit, but now the readings are wildly inaccurate. If you test the same sample twice in 30 seconds you will get two totally different numbers. The product is a nice concept but the company does not stand behind it, and it's not reliable.Avoid!

Stopped reading correct after around 2 years. Can no longer use it.
I used this for around 2 years before it failed. I have 2 other test kits for a back up. Just recently my ph showed to be very high. Very odd because I keep my pool numbers spot on. I kept adding acid to lower the ph. After adding way to much I decided to order new ph tablets thinking I may have a bad batch. New tablets arrive with same incorrect readings. I then raised the ph and tested with the Taylor k-2006 kit. Ph tested 7.4. Also have a cheaper simple test kit that measured the ph at 7.4. The LaMotte read HI. I then questions chlorine levels and the LaMotte was also off. I changed batteries and still is not correct. I also super cleaned the test tubes thinking they may be cloudy from use. I no longer use this as it is not accurate.

Great test kit
Great test kit, easy to use and test for a lot more water issues. Much more reliable readings than test strips.

Excellent product
The only slight drawback is you can not test for salt levels with this particular product, but otherwise very pleased with it!
