Perfect fan!
I can’t believe how great this small fan works! Better than any I have had. It is also the perfect size for our small bedroom and office. We bought two! I was a little concerned about the silver color but it is not a shiny silver. It is muted and is almost more of a grey color. The remote like switch at the door is awesome! I would definitely suggest this fan and so glad I bought them!

Well isnt that small
I got a fan like this for these featuressmall , oh yea, makes the whole room perceive to be bigger when it is so tight to the ceiling, and unobtrusive.Short , from my ceiling , the light dome lowest point is about 11"Remote for the wall , I needed the "control" for the item to remain in one location (oh you know how that is) with the decorator sized insert the remote goes in the light switch box as a BATTERY operated remote , completely not connected to the wiring . the battery type is commonly not reliable. There is some delay sometimes in Reaction, to turning on the light. The light dims on, even though there is no dimming present to the setup, this makes the light slower to come on, I don't need that or like that, but I recognize it is a bit fancier. The fan has 3 speedsLOW , spin around a bit , move some air , make no noise , take little powerMEDIUM , a gentle breeze , quiet still, nice power levelHigh , kick up the dust , hear it working, mostly air friction sounds , small room has flow wind down the walls and around even. The blades are wide and short as you can see, it IS different air movement, right Under the fan is a breeze like you would get from a Box Fan , then it swirls around to the rest of this small room.Again, the air movement is heavily concentrated straight below the fan blades, in a circular breeze zone.REVERSE the fan, and the excessive concentration in the one small area , is hitting the roof instead. and the swirling of it down the walls and around is then seemingly more even to the human.Installation is , lets just say pure hell :-) that will do. much stuff to cram in , and nothing to temporarily hold it at the mounting like a bayoneted mount would do. With the one person installing, I had to install it 2 times, and on the third, I might get it perfected , when someone can Help hold the dang thing. It came bent and wobbly like everything else, I just squished a few things back and it is completely acceptable.the case is all metal. the light is sufficient for any single small room like this might be used in, but would not be a full light for a large room.Because of the size and length of the blades, there doesn't seem to be any of the usual balance problems, making the flush mount a bit happier.Later after I get more use out of it , I will update, this is like 1 week report

Beautiful, High Quality Fan
I’ve purchased a total of 5 Kichler Sola fans and plan on getting more. All of the fans I have are 44 inches. Most are Brushed Nickel and one is Matte White (long story).Aesthetically, the Sola Fan is very modern, simple and beautiful. I love the smooth fan blades, minimalistic light-plate and lack of unnecessary adornments such as tacky rivets.LightingThe light is a bright enough for a midsize room without being overpowering. It’s easily dimmed by the green LIGHT button on the plate mounted remote. The LIGHT button also glows in the dark so it’s easy to find. In the event that the user doesn’t want to utilize the light, it includes a cover that’s nice looking.FunctionIt circulates air effectively, which is very important in the Arizona desert. It also easily switches to a reverse mode without the need for adjusting the blades. All functions are controlled by the plate mounted remote, so need to pull on chains.Energy EfficiencyThe decision to update all the ceiling fans is more than aesthetics. It also saves on energy. The energy difference between operating the Sola fans and the outdated ones is startling. My old fans cost around $130/year to run (between 6-8 hours/day). This one costs only $11 to $15/year.InstallationAs far as ceiling fans are concerned, installation is rather straightforward. I had a professional electrician install the first one but we were able to install the rest on our own. Kichler’s enclosed printed instructions are very helpful and the company also offers various instructional videos.RemoteThe remote is designed to be mounted directly into the wall with the existing light switch plate. It comes with single rocker style switch-plate covers. (In plain white; mine are stainless steel, but I already had those.) Some competing brands only include a loose remote. Mounting it to the wall requires purchase of an additional kit. (Eg: Minka Aire.)QualityThe Sola fan is heavy and looks really solid. I was a little weary about purchasing a fan without being able to see it first. Upon receiving the fan, I was happy to discover that the quality is what one would expect from Kichler brand and is consistent to the price range.StyleThe lines are smooth and it has a simple, clean look; yet, it's not so trendy to the point that it's going to appear outdated in 10 years. I think it’s ideal for mid-century, industrial, transitional or modern decor themes. It doesn't have that a traditional or classic vibe. (In other words, I do NOT recommend it for a Victorian house!)

Good
I bought this fan for a kitchen because of the size and low profile to the ceiling. Installed it above the table and replaced a standard light. Instructions were okay to understand but I had to jumper out the old light's switch because the new fan uses a wireless battery powered remote that went into the old switch socket. This fan moves a lot of air when set to high and because of the blade design, the greatest air moving is right under the fan sometimes blowing papers or napkins right off the table.
