Best lightweight cord tensioners made!
Hands down, these are the best line tensioners available. I had never seen this style before buying my Alps Mountaineering tent, which came with a slightly larger version of these tensioners. So that's how I learned about these awesome little things. I have since replaced all of the tensioners on my 3 tents with this type. They are so simple to use - much easier than any tensioner out there. They are very lightweight as well, so it's a win-win.As for the entire product - it's line tensioners [plus cord]. The cord is good quality cordage, with a reflective stripe running through it. It's a nylon material, and a bit thinner diameter than normal paracord. This makes it lighter, for those who count ounces. The cord has strands running through the middle - like paracord, but again, it's a thinner diameter. The cut ends seal easily using a heat gun (my new favorite method). Despite the smaller diameter, the cord is plenty strong enough for any tent-related usage.

Good quality product and works as advertised without slipping
Great addition to the backpacking gear. I installed these on a custom tarp for hammock camping and they work on even the thinnest of line. The supplied line could be better (not as slick/hearty as I envisioned) but the line locks serve their purpose even under great tension but remain simple enough to loosen when adjustment is needed.

Great Guy Lines
Use these with my DD 3x3 tarp setup. You can see them great at night due to the reflective cord in them. Also, the locks really work well.

Rope and pole rv awning.
Had five similar lines and tensioners for my vintage rope and pole awning. Perfect replacement for one I lost and one of the tensioners streched open. A little troublesome threading cut end into the tensioner, but overall, seems more durable than my original ones.

Holes are too small
You have to drill out the holes to get the rope thru. You have to melt the rope or it just strips the case off of the rope core.

not useful
