everything works as it should except now i have a buzzing noise that wasn't there before with a previous bulb, i don't know if its the ballast buzzing or the bulb. its not extremely loud but its annoying to say the least

March 2019:I got sick and tired of replacing my odd size stove light every few months. I had switched out my home fluorescent lights to LED and was wondering if I could do it to a stove too. That's when I came upon these plug and play lights. They are more expensive but I figured I would give it a try. I seriously just put it right in and it works. There is a pretty loud buzz sound with it on that I wish I could get rid of. I'm sure it's the ballasts that are voicing their opinions on this new technology. The real test is to see how long it lasts. My stove is 25 years old and running like a champ. Which will die first? I'll update my review when either the stove or the light dies.Update: 1/16/2020The light is still working great with daily use. The buzz really isn't terrible loud. Both light and stove still going strong.Updated 2/3/2022The stove and light are still going strong. I'm very impressed. 3 years on this one bulb and not even a flicker. The buzz is still there but it's more like the typical fluorescent light hum/buzz.

The product was as represented. It was easy to install and the brightness exceeded our expectations. Since we recently purchased it, I cannot comment on longevity.

Will work well if you have a newer fixture with a modern ballast system. But it will not work properly with the older ballasts in antique appliances from the 1970s and 1980s. Using it in my old stove to replace a burnt out fluorescent tube, it lit, but the switch could not turn it off, it would have remained on 24/7/365. When I removed it and put in a traditional fluorescent tube, now the light won't turn on, so this tube seems to have even ruined either the ballast, or the switch, leaving me with a permanently broken light fixture!Caveat Emptor -- Let the buyer beware! >_<

Had been looking around for a replacement bulb like this for our stove top light and could not find one anywhere until I found this one. Was skeptical of the LED being bright enough, looking normal, and fitting but it has worked great. Not sure if the plastic will be ok once we start baking and roasting again (summer now, too hot) but the bulb looks like it'll be fine, it's not flimsy. Happy to have found this.

This 26-inch size is not one you will find in most or any home improvement stores and if you do find one it will cost almost as much as the NYLL - 26 daylight 6000K Inch LED Tube. It truly is plug and play or install, turn on, and enjoy very bright light. This went on our large range as a surface light and it is almost too bright, I should have gone with the cool white 4100K or maybe even the warm light 2700K style.

I've been replacing that fluorescent bulb in my Amana gas range for 20 years now, and those tubes are getting harder and harder to find. I bought this new LED replacement as an experiment, and am very pleased so far. Not only is it truly "plug and play", it is a little brighter as well. I can't speak to how long it lasts as it's only been operating for a few weeks, but I leave this light on 24/7 so time will tell within the next year. At twice the price of the old fluorescent bulb, it is a great deal as it uses less electricity and lasts longer, hopefully as long as my old Amana range! Highly recommended.
