Beautiful wallpaper!
I purchased this paper to used as a border. I was hesitant because of what some reviewers said about adhesion and installation. I used a heavy duty wallpaper adhesive, applied it fairly heavy on the backside of the paper and let it sit to soak in for the full 15 minutes recommended. The paper installed really easily, smoothed out and has stayed in place really well. I used a clean, damp rag to smooth and press the paper into place and cleanup excess wallpaper adhesive. This worked well without damaging the paper. Nice heavy wallpaper, would recommend for someone looking for a more raised design. I did not paint the paper at all so no comment on how well it paints or whether to paint before or after installation.

Looks great!
I used this on my old plaster ceilings to hide the deformities. I painted it with an eggshell paint. Everyone thinks I have real tin ceilings. A friend purchased it for back splash after seeing mine. She painted it with a 3 step copper paint. Looks fantastic. It's so much easier to use than actual tin & much less expensive. I also used it on a ceiling years ago & that is also still looking great. I will use it again.

Love this paper!
I love this paper!!! There are tons of patterns to choose from and the price is equally attractive. Everyone (including my contractors who applied to my ceiling) love the end result.

Paints easily, hanging is no fun, and it's a bit too thin
First, the pattern is great and what I wanted. I knew it was unpasted and got the paste for it at Lowes. Next: painting it was easy peasy. Lastly: it's thin - tears really easy when hanging, handle extremely carefully and you should be ok. It wasn't a GREAT value because you have to use paste and it tears really easy, but it was a fair value and the end look is nice.

Looks like the real thing
When I got the idea of using faux tin on my powder room ceiling to add a bit of character to a rather boring room, I was blown away at the cost and physical effort it would take. So I began researching alternatives. That's when I found this embossed paper. I'd used similar products to cover unslightly walls but never tried it on a ceiling. I read the reviews and when others complained about how hard it was to put up, I knew the trick immediately...PUT PASTE ON BOTH THE PAPER AND THE WALL! If you aren't an expert at wallpaper, roll on a generous layer of paste on the paper then "bookend" it (fold the ends over - meeting in the middle of the strip allowing the pasted sides to stick to one another) While the glue is setting up on the paper, add an additional layer of paste to the wall...or in my case the ceiling. Be careful not to go over your plum lines. Then it's easy as pie to place, roll and match the edges. I added a single coat of ceiling paint and it looks AMAZING for less than $45 in materials and about 2 hours of my time.

Easy to apply (lends itself to shorter sections
This particular patter mimics a tin tile ceiling in both my bathroom and office. Easy to apply (lends itself to shorter sections, making it a one-person project). Easily hides ceiling or wall faults and problems (do your best to correct those before application) and looks best with 2 coatsof semigloss enamel (critical in a high-humidity situation). Cannot recommend it highly enough.

Pretty but...
I bought this paper with the intent to create the look of a silver tone metal ceiling. Unfortunately this paper is not smooth enough to pull off the look of pressed tin. Despite covering with primer and high gloss silver paint the pits in surface were still too obvious to look like a pressed metal. That being said, the paper is very pretty and with a little imagination and artistry could make a lovely faux stone, antique plaster or other surface that does not require a super smooth base to achieve.
