KitchenCraft Jam Pot Covers Set, 24 Wax Discs for Jam Jars with Covers and Labels, Tight Seal, 24 Uses Set

Decided to make jam, as you do! Plenty of stuff to make jam with in the garden and on my 10,000 step walks. Damsons, crab apples, sloes, cooking apples (scrumped from someone's garden!). I remember my grand mother doing this and so looked for wax tops and plastic coverings and jam jars, etc. Found these jam jar covers and they are top.

The wax discs are still too small for an average 1lb jar

I make marmalade a lot I don't really need a selection just the ones for 1lb jars my fault with my ordering tho they are just right

Poor quality

Issues finding 1lb jar size jam maker covers so ordered these. Pleased I did as been using them since they arrived. Plenty of 2lb jar size but I recycle jars much smaller than the 2lbs so wanted the 1lb sizes. Highly recommend if you cannot find any within your area. Our little sweet / gift shop used to sell them alas this closed down years ago and locally couldn't find any hence ordered off Amazon.

Really disappointing. Just finished a batch or marmalade grabbed the wax discs which felt much thicker than normal ones a use and they would not lie flat on top of the marmalade and just curled up. Tried numerous times before cutting my own out using baking paper instead. The covers are also much thicker than the ones I normally use and when wetted they do not seal on the top of the hot jam jar - had to dig out old lids and fit these instead. So might be useful for something but did not work for me at all.

A good selection of items for jam making - but I found the labels a bit small and the wax discs a bit too big. All worked out though.
