They quit making these Only reason I can think of is there's a legal reason. The manufacturer doesn't state why. But I like the idea considering it gives you some rear end protection which is better than none at all. You can probably have one made better by a local metal fabricator.

Nothing compares to this For rear end protection, everybody that uses bumper protectors and tow hooks are just going to damage their frame or body more than if you did not have it. This has a built-in shock absorber which, instead of transferring all the energy into your frame, will absorb most of the impact. Well worth the money to protect your investment.

I purchased a spare bumper for my 2013 Honda pilot and when I purchased my 2025 pilot I purchased a spare bumper for it. The new spare bumper is wider and protects more area. It also looks great. Most of all it is the peace of mind I have when I see someone coming up on my rear. They don't seem to ride my bumper at the light or the stop sign. I would definitely buy this again and I have.

This is a follow up review from my earlier post. I purchased this product at the end of January 2019. I put it on my vehicle in the second week of February. This morning Friday March 15th, 2019 I was re-ended in a three car collision. The person following behind me was following too close and we had to stop short. They were able somehow to stop about an inch from my truck but the car behind her was not. The rear person collided with the rear end of the car behind me at about 25mph and drove that car into the back end of my truck. Luckily I had Jeff’s product there to protect me THE SPARE BUMPER 424. They towed her car off and the dealer gave my truck a clean bill of health. Just a black scuff mark on the bumper that will buff out with the next wash. THANK YOU SPARE BUMPER FOR YOUR AWESOME PRODUCT. I will never drive another vehicle without one. I will be purchasing one for my wife’s vehicle. Please see the pictures.

Thankfully I haven't had to try it yet but the reviews are good, the crash videos are good, it looks good, and showed up on time with everything as advertised. No noticeable rattle for me with it just being pinned in without any hitch clamps to stop wobble sounds.

This thing saved my truck and the other car! Got rear ended merging on a highway at night. The bumper absorbed almost 100% of the impact to my truck and only scratched the other car a little, no dents at all. The company has great service too. The CEO of the company sent me a new bumper in less than a week after my bumper got hit!

Need lower price. It is a rubber shock absorber.
