The scanner works fine and the software installation is pretty straight forward. The problem is that they have not invested in any OCR maturity above basic text. Since most business cards use a variety of fonts and the placement of information is different on every card, it would require a much, much more mature OCR/scanning software package to truly make this a great product. I would say that in nearly all card scanning situations, I have to re-enter or just enter the information on the card for at least 50% of the card's information. Sometimes, I re-entering every field - like name, address, city, state, zip, email, web site and so forth.So when I called to ask if they had a fix or an update, the support person was like "....uh....well.....no....it's just a basic OCR software and it doesn't recognize much on business cards". Well now.Nice scanner, but the package doesn't deliver what it promises. Way over priced. You're better off saving the money and just entering the business card information yourself. Entering the card information into your ACT or SalesForce will be no less quick than using the scanning software.I'm really surprised that the market doesn't have a better solution. For someone who wants to make a few million, this is a market in need of a mature, reliable product. Scan2CRM and Scan2ACT are not what you want.
